  1. After seeing some of you guys on here weathering some of the models and making them look so real I thought it was about time I had a go at it. Hopefully once the council has approved my plans for a large shed out the back I'll be starting a layout for these to go on, While I waiting for the plans I thought I would get a start on the models, First I did is the spreader then the Fendt, First photo is of just of the paint, then the finish job.

  2. Very nice richie.  hoping to set up my railway layout again now I have a bit more room. I may have a small section reserved for a funfair.........candy floss anyone  :P

I hope we are going to see some photos of the layout BRITFARMER ??

What a great little show and varied too. I love the car crusher and the fairground dioramas. Interesting story behind the boiler being made a stones throw from your birthplace, Richie. The world is a small place yes.

Obviously, the best display there is yours  ;) ;)

Yes Tris it is a small world, Ha I don't know about. At the next meeting we'll find out who had the most votes.

  3. This is different cars and buses I think,!!!!!      This guy that collects steam engines was telling me he bought the large steam boiler at the back left of the photo from a lady down his street her grandfather made it when he was 18 in 1890 at Whitley bay near Newcastle in the North east of England only 25 miles from where I was born, Small world eh. ;D

  4. Well my first show with my models and the diorama, Took all of my 1;32 stuff with me as well as the 1;87 on the Saturday thinking that I had 2 eight foot tables, but no, was told I only had the one booked. The guy I rang up to book them had gone on Holiday to the uk so no one to back me, never mind so most of the 1;32 stuff came back home, Most of the show was mostly die cast cars, I was the only one there with tractors. We had over 600 people throw the door on sunday, I had a lot of people asking questions about the diorama and the 1;32 stuff. wasnt quite sure if people would be interested in tractors with the show only a few miles from the city, But no it was a good day and I'll make sure for next time two or even three tables. Took a few photos of some of the displays, Sorry for the blurred ones took them in a bit of a rush.

Such a shame that you have to go through all that just to show a model layout!! I hope you get in the show, Richie. It is shame for the rest of us that we cannot see it for real aswell mind...

FTF trip to Australia anyone?!!

Well good news everyone The president of the club rang up yesterday and Iam in and they have given me a 8ftx4ft table for the show, So all go just have to decide what 1;32 stuff to take, I'll take the camera and get a few shots of the show.
