Had a bit of spare time this week so got a little bit done. Started on the drive way and the farmhouse garden. Waiting for a dutch barn which I ordered from Modelzone 2 weeks ago. I take it its the postal strike holding it up over there. Then I'll start on the farm lay out

Iam so pleased that someone with your skill are building some 1;87 models. They look fantastic cant wait to see the spreader finished, I will be keeping an eye on this subject very closely. They would look great on my layout, Taken orders by any chance.

That is absolutely fantastic Filius, Bl**y amazing What else can I say.

Fantastic photos tractorman, Love seeing them old masseys brings back all them memories, Spending days on end in a 590 with duals on the pit and 575 loader mucking out, Come to think about it thats why my hearings not that flash now a days.
-

This is so much more than a farm layout now, Richie. You're creating a whole community down there. I'd go with the same excuse too, harvest got in the way and you didn't have time to get the bales in. Your kid(s) must love all this?!
richie that is absoloutly stunning! very well done, its a credit to you :o
Thanks for that guys, Yes she loves helping me out and playing with the trains. She just gets carried away sometimes.
-
Well Phase 2 has got off the mark, The farm and the truck yard with a loading dock for putting cattle on the train. Yes I know its not your normal thing to see on a uk farm but hey, neither is a livestock road train. :D PS the first pic is with the cut out out ,Its so I can reach the train when my five year old puts it flat out and comes off at the far end. \

Smashing updates, the trucks look nice. Your bullnose looks lile that of McGuires of Cheltenham, they used to run a bulker on one. My favourite bit though is the roadworks, that is just wicked. Burst main or something is it?
Ha yes burst water main it is lad. :D I thought the bullnose looked a bit big for that trailer so Iv'e swoop it over back to the Merc.

Thanks for that MJb, Very handy site to have. Yes I do like that. Out of about 20 1;87 trucks I have 8 of them are made by Schuco they are really good detail. What I have been trying to find is a 1;87 livestock truck. I have managed to find 1, Well one is a home made roadtrain and two artics not that detailed but they are going to have to do. Busy painting them, not too sure weather to keep the logo on the trailers or not. WHITE OX right along the side of the trailers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks againfound this link & think you'd like the bottom of page 5

What else can I say top job, Them backgrounds are fantastic. Seen some digital backgrounds in the shop last week. They wanted 40 dollars for 10 ft, Some day.Just getting round to reading all the updates on the farm Tris :o Leverets has seriously come along in leaps and bounds. The detail is amazing !!! Great job young Tristopher

thing is you got to have nearly as much money to do 1/87 as 1/32 ! looking great richie.
probably won't mean much to some , but wondering if the scania & trailer looked a little like AW Jenkinson (forest products) whats think tris ?
Your right MJB for the timber and just some of the scenery ie; 2 packs of fences grass mats paints and making of the rocks has cost me about 120 pounds so far, Thats with out the models. Ha well spotted MJB I've taken the colour scheme from AW Jenkinson's. Here's what its suppose to look like.
