  4. Thanks everyone for your comments. Its good to be back Tris, Tractorman the detail on your 1;32 farm is great, On page 81 I even notice a telegraph pole with wire's and a transformer on it. And you say you can't get the detail.

  6. They are both wiking's thomas. Hows things going with your farm? haven't seen any up dates lately. Ive got one more field to do then Iam starting on the farm itself.
  7. Last one . Close up of the baling.
  8. I should of had a lighter colour around the edge of the pond, I painted to much grey to close to the edges, Just me nit picking I suppose. Finished the plough and bale field today, Iam very pleased with it. See if you's agree with me.

  14. Thanks for that Iam really enjoying doing it,
  15. Well when I said straight into bin, One of my mates who's not a member said he would take them all and he was going to start his layout. But about amonth later I'd asked if he had started and he said he did'nt have the room. So he binned them and he was going to have a go at 1;87. I wasnt upset at all, You know what they say ' once one chapter closes another one opens'. :)
  16. Ha it shows that he's keen though, I suppose if you are transporting flat is easier. I just use a small brush ( about 5-8 mm ) dip into brown water based paint, Wipe excess off onto a rage then brush lightly back and forth were you would find mud on a machine. Try a old model some like a old car and just have a go with that first, You need to make sure there is not too much paint on the brush thats the important bit. hope that helps.
  17. My 1;32 layout all went in the bin, Well all the buildings and the stone walls and hedges. The boards it was on have been used to board out my brothers loft. I wasn't allowed to bring any bare timber into Australia. Once I get this games room up and running I will have both lay outs in there. I see what you mean MJB about the hen houses I might have a try with them. Thanks for that.
  18. Here you go Murry. Not exactly perfect but they'll do for me.
  19. They were'nt that hard 17 mm dowel painted straw colour and filed round the edges dipped in glue and then into sawdust, Tried to wrap some thread round for string but to bulky so just left them as they are. Same as silage bales but painted with black satin to give that half shine.
  20. I could be wrong MJB but Iam sure they are hen houses, They came with the Metcalfe Farm sheds One small one which is the small one with the bales in and the bigger one. ???
  21. Looking good thomas, Well impressed. Like the way you have change your hen houses to a hay shed and a machinery shed. Might have to have a go at some of my hen houses. well done.
  22. Yes murray I've straw and wrapped silage bales. Iam planning on doing another stubble field were the baler is busy and also loading bales onto a trailer with the plough in hot pursuit. Thanks for the great comments guys but Tris there are alot more better layouts on this forum than mine. Its great to see so many layouts, I love looking through this topic keep it up guys they are all great.
