i use to drive a 290 like that when i was 16. i remember that you could never bump start it in the steep as the engine had to be running to stay in 4wd as it wasn't manual 4wd. great tractor in the steep as you were sat down low, better than the 590 we had .

shame about he hole missing. i have a fendt 824 that i want to do . i will wait till i see them in the flesh,To be fair to Agrium the wheels and tyres are very nice BUT they were too big for my JD which I understand they were designed for!!! As you can see from the picture they are just right for the big Fendt. Other problems are there is no machined positioned hole for the axle to fit into so you have to drill a hole in the centre of the wheel yourself well good luck with that one Im a carpenter who drills holes in wood and metal most days and I struggled to accurately drill the centre point I can tell you! The model just about runs ok without too much wonkiness but at £20 a set of wheels its very expensive if you c*ck up the drill hole
Also the front wheel hub is useless because if you dont get the hole exactly right again the fixed hub jams on the screw so i left mine of.
If of course your just going to put the wheels on and glue on the hubs with no intention of the wheels turning (because they wont) and your happy to have rears jammed in the rear mudguards because the model will forever be displayed on a mantlepiece and never moved then get a set If however you intend to put them on a model like the 828 then my advice is be very careful getting them set up right. I personally think they should come drilled ready to fit together with the axle included in the set but im sure Agrium will fairly point out the extra expense that would add to them

they look very good. how do you find the wheels in general? i thought i might buy some as they are a bit thinker than others you see. great work

keeps you from being bored, putting them right paul. never knew that about the 6475 door handle.im sure chris other people will disagree with me,but the 5480 and 8690 are spot on in my opinion, dont have to change anything, unlike the 7499,wheel colour incorrect,no flaired rear mudguards, infact i have yet to see a 7400 series with narrow rear mudguards, the tier 3 series i mean,6475,all wrong colour on the wheels, the 6475 does not have a door handle or bar,the red one is a copy of the orange one, i think that is because the orange version, based on the highway version ,or the council version as i call it,only has one door, bor reckons the mf 590 wheels are to far back, the 3080 had wrong wheel centres,so not many uh mf releases are right, will have to see what the new releases of 390,690,2620,2640 and 6290 are like, its nothing major, but something you shouldnt have to do to these models, also their massey activa combine is spot on as well
