  2. :D rowing straws great, just go as hard as you can till you canny sit in the seat some of the feilds i was in yesterday were tiny, twice round and once up in a few \ lucky my rake isnt any bigger hate them oul DB's, steering is very slack \
  3. then the rowing outfit, who said my rake was small, i can put 7 rows into 1 And a DB 1390 and zweeger (spelling) haybob \
  4. things were quiet for a while but starting to pick up now, unfortunately im at college now but theres always half days and saturdays contractor only has 4 drivers including himself and with 3 combi balers and 2 1 combine (wee 1503 dropped a valve n put a piston out) dosnt leave many spare drivers they manage to slack a driver for mowing but wee seem to be rowing the bulk of it then with most contractors into hedge cutting and cereals we get some added work, i had to ted a bit for neighbours, overkill to say the least, 135 on 4 star claas
  5. mighty fine pics there davy good veiw of the mournes wats wrong the wee masseys not on the rake

  7. you could tell that boy on the 310 wasnt that good at driving old, look at the shape o her :'( bet that 155 on getting it tight to
  8. 8) lovely pics there robbo, especially that 135 * i underestimated the mccormick, didnt think she'd handle a 5 furrow \
  9. i managed alright with the plough lamps, but wasnt easy em neh we used to do barley but was working out cheaper and easier to buy of Thompsons and straws easy enough got hold of, so left us with less worrys although less driving and equipment :'(
  10. cheers murray, shes very pink got and my work light on the back o her dosnt work found that out on tuesday night, spreading effluent at 10 oclock
  11. cheers lads they could put some machines to shame, there the only 2 i know of still working round here, the owners of these to have 3 more each in bit, for spares, and the second harvester we got is on its 3rd engine :D
  12. ran out of room in the clamp and ended up baling 3 acres, 46 bales on it, dont do much round bale silage, but is this alot per acre mc135 n kane, next up had to spread a load of effluent, was some amount of rain over night, field was lifted day before and not a mark yet this afternoon i was starting to cut the ground \ then spent 2 hours with the link a sweep brushing yards, lanes and roads \
  13. went through 2 harvesters yesterday, contractors 2205 lay down after 5 acres and when we went for the neighbours 2205 the clutch was in need of repairs so 4 hours later we were up and going harder than ever no pics of the 2nd harvester, but she was tidy, bar becon, cb, beefy front tyres and 4wd tyre on rear Broke he just spent a week fixing header up aswell mighty mx n fraser finished rowing at 9.30 and realized i had a side light out
  14. had to get second cut in, was long over due \ so took the chance and cut it down on monday afternoon, only to be rained off after getting 30 acre mowed and 5 rowed. \ thankfully tuesday was a decent day and there wasnt a tractor left parked up, mc100 was rowing, 115 drawing in and 135 mowing the last 30odd acres first up mowing rig new scrapper tractor mc100, brave few hours on er but she'll do

    My week

a pitty indeed nice insurance jobby should sort that out
  18. theres 3 bolts on each to take out, then turn a wee dealy which pushes them out, we only keep one bolt in each side quicker to adjust she takes 3 rows fully out, but the harvester can only take 2 at a struggle
  19. Sad day at Windyhill today, i drive my mighty 885xl down the lane for the last time :'( :'( looks like ill need a new forum name ill keep yous posted on her replacement
  20. he has a front mower for the mx, but she could hardly handle it in a decent crop, hes priced a hydraulic pto and linkage for the cvx and shes 6 grand she could handle 3 no sweat
  21. went and got a 30% tyre to match the rest, then probably vulcanized the sliced one as a spare :D he was mowing with a wee 10ft jd on her, wouldnt have known anything was on her but the mower couldn't cope \ was near just taring the grass out
  22. shes had a handy life, only 6000 hours \ that contractor just bought a cvx 170 with 7000 hours, shes a brute, to big for are part of the world thoo, already sliced a tyre on a gate post
  23. thats a brave line up there, just need a big albutt on the front of that deere :
  24. wouldnt fancy roading on a 50k with one, 24mph hairy enough at times, especially with high curbs and what not \ 51 series are mighty machines, he pulls his big welger combi with his 5130, only 97 horse at new, probably lucky if she has 90horse an 2 donkeys now, but she was pulling the baler with 2 bales (wet bales !!) up a wet hill, no probs and ploughed with a 4 furrow as if it wasnt there
