  1. i made the blue trailer mickel and all the building and walls were ceiling tiles and some grey grout thanks oldford its something different my 1st attempt at weathering as well went a bit over the top thanks for all the comments guys

  3. yes mandy they are soldiers but they are not straight from the box i mean each one has an arm or leg from a different one to make one man i used maybe 4 or 5 different ones the heads are hornet 1/35 ones they are very well detailed i found them on ebay

  5. thank you guys the stables and barn where made with the polysterine ceiling tiles same as the walls and silage pits the front of the barn was stiring sticks and the roof of the barn was a roll of the corragated card i got from mandy with the paper removed from the inside and then cut into pieces and stuck onto 6mm dowel i got from b&q the stable doors was 1mm balsa cut to suit and matchsticks where used for the window bars roof was black card cut into tile strips and a light coat of grey primmer to take the black shine off the card

  9. this is the start of my layout which i made for the moria show and hope to add new updates as often as i can
  10. not sure if mandy sells it yes its for railways but it had no brand name on it ie like hornby it was just in a clear packet i got mine in belfast big bag would fill 2 trailers was £3.00 i first tried sand but it was not yellow enough if you have trouble getting it next time im in the shop i will get you some
  11. thanks claaspower what i did was used pollystering and stepped 3 bits on top of each other then i used pva and kitchen roll and pasted it over to make it more contoured and added the ballast when the pva was still wet then poured some loose down the trailer to give the bit at the back of the trailer
  12. not yet robert i only made that layout last week for the moria show and i took a few pics so will have to start a topic soon
  13. i used brown ballast i got in a model shop it looks the right colour for grain

  19. is world of wonder still going in the south as all there stores in the north closed big sale everything was 1/2 price cheapest place to get uh is france simtractor the wiking duetz less than £40 and £10.20 postage then you order as much as you want i think they are the best value for money

  21. does george have a web site i remember when i got the diesel tanks he sent me a leaflet with some builds on it but cant seem to find it now im looking it he is great at what he does and his work speaks for itself just look at how many people has his tanks was looking to know did he do the meal bins does anyone know if he does
  22. rabh7840 and intey 434 both have made round bale lifters and are very well made pics of them should be on the forum if you cant find any pm either of them for details
  23. there is a hotel at the airport or there is a few in lurgan which is 5 miles from the show but there is quite a few guest houses as well the ballyrobin is on the airport road its a nice place will list more names when i take a drive that way and write them down
