made a start on 2nd cut today,wit the chancy weather northern ireland is getin at the mo the grass was autoswathed by the big m with no raking as this could bring soil into the sward,there was no wilt either,it was picked up straight away after mowing!

if the floors not ready out comes the baler

cowboy landed in yesterday in his lorry to take a load of sheep away and then returned to lay concrete in the 2nd cut silo

well the lambs were took off the ewes and are headn to market shortly,this will be the last crop of lambs from the farm,6290 on floats was in sowing a bit of fertiliser today and over on the contracting side a new pottinger jumbo silage wagon was purchased to help out the fx60 in this wet and difficuilt season...........

its been quite busy on the farm this weather,ewes and lambs were brought home from grazing ground quite a distance from the yard and run through the dip,the farm plans to sell its sheep enterprise this year and concentrate on the dairy side,also a new silo for 2nd cut has been built,just need the dry weather to make a start on the 2nd cut!

the contractor that lifts our grass runs a jaguar 890 speedster and did use a older 690 for mowing with 30ft claas mowers,got a big m mark1 last year put the pickup reel back on the 690 and the spout and has her lifting beside the 890 7 kane trailers drawing!
