  1. A robot potato planter. Can anyone give me some more information about these. Are they the same as David Brown planters? Thanks.
  2. Ciaran started the build and kept me upto date with regular email updates. He brought the model to Moira Show just in time for my planting scene. I was delighted with the model and the detail and accuracy he put into it is excellent. He deserves alot of credit for this build especially as he never seen one in real life and only based it on photos and measurements. A few photos of the model
  3. I got some measurements and photos of the real machine. Thanks to Farmer Francie.
  4. I like to base my model layout around vegetable farming as this is where my interest lies. Unfortunately model manufacturers do not produce model vegetable machinery so it either has to be scratch built or converted. Last year BOR made me my dream model of a veg packer. This year I wanted to do a layout representing field activities that happen in June. I wanted to recreate a cabbage planting scene with a Cheechi & Magli module cabbage planter . www.checchiemagli.com I contacted Ciaran Dunne and he said to get some pictures and measurements and he would have a go at making it.
  5. There should be a few people selling farm sheds. There will also be several people selling conversions. A few displayers are selling some of their model conversions from their collection.
  6. I am still searching for accomodation for Agritechnica. Does anyone know of any available accomodation. Thanks.
  7. Moira is on 28th and 29th and Mitchelstown is on the 29th and 30th October. Anybody coming over from the UK? You will be made very welcome at Moira. Plenty of excellent layouts to view. I am particulary looking forward to seeing BOR's potato planting outfit. G+M, SD Frater, DBP Models and Paul Capon will be in attendance. Saturday is going to be an interesting day with a dyno test for classic and modern tractors. Moira Show is within 30 mins of Belfast airports and ports so easily accessible from the UK. Plenty of cheap flights and ferry deals out there.
  8. I am interested in going to Agritechnica. The only problem is finding accomodation. Can anyone point me in the right direction for accomodation. Thanks.
  9. Spill the beans. What other red models are due then?
  10. It is a Ransome's seat allright. My Granda got the conversion done.
  11. Here are a few of the inside of the cab.
  12. I don't think we have a Fergie crane. Do you have a picture of one?
  13. Below is a 1949 grey Ferguson which was bought from new. It is one of the first tractors to be fitted with a cab. The neighbours laughed at it! Now every tractor has a cab!
  14. There is over one hundred items in this collection. Some are horsedrawn implements such as ploughs, reapers, potato diggers. Quite a few of the tractor implements are Massey Ferguson or Ferguson. A view of one of the shelving. Cultivators, Horsedrawn ploughs. A couple of horse carts.
  15. This is a collection of Vintage tractors, farm machinery and horse drawn implements. Some of the items were used by my Granda and Father on the family farm. Other items were bought in Northern Ireland or at vintage auctions in the UK. My Granda spent alot of time cleaning and painting many of the items. My Father has many of the items displayed in pallet racking shelving. From the outside it looks like a normal shed. However the inside tells a different story. This photo only shows a section of this collection.
  16. Details for the next Moira Show. 28th and 29th October 2011.
  17. Any release dates yet on the plough and irrigation drum? Thanks.
  18. As usual UH are going to make the most out of their 6475 casting. Maybe there will be a white version, or a black version or even a chrome one in the future!! Is a european version going to be made as well? When UH went to the bother of opening doors and back window in this model why did they miss the handrail on the inside of the passenger door? When placed alongside similar sized tractors the bonnet doesn't look to scale. How are these details not noticed before they go into production? Why are there loader brackets on it?

    ROS 2011

Hello Kim75 Welcome to the forum. I was wandering do Ros have the rights to make Grimme potato equipment? Will a destoner, planter and self propelled harvester be future models after the potato harvester. Will Ros also produce a Landini 9880 in the future? Thank you for your help.
