our contractor uses a ford 5610 2wd 75hp to drive a liner 880 so the person who said it would kill a 6420s must be thinking on a different 6420s than i know of

yeessssssssssssssss!!!!

how many acre of rolling silage you do i do about 120 and it fells like it goes on for ages i do 4-5 m.p.h in a 40 acre field nearly sleeping
o we roll about 110 roughly depends on whats in potatoes etc.
boring as f**k
-
You need some moisture, that's another reason for rolling in the first place; to seal in moisture for the seed.
we dont have much bother getting moisture in northern ireland
-
waiting for better weather to sow fertiliser and roll the silage ground but at slurry this week
-
we roll the feilds we re-seed after the grass seed is sowed
-

A contractor near me has traded in 4 JD's a 6410,6520,6630 & a 6320
For 3 150hp Valtra N141's, and in his opinion it's the best thing he's ever done. Apaarently they are the definition of pocket rocket. Although they have the power, being 4cyl. and small, they get pushed away a bit with heavier loads.
i thought that would be the case this morning when i first saw the tractor but it was ok i thought as steady as our nh 7840
;)
they are expensive tractors
