  1. Basically you can legaly go up to 3m wide before a load becomes 'notafiable' where you fax the council and the police of the route you plan to use. When a load becomes outsize or overweight you then operate under special goods rules.Ever noticed the STGO CAT 2 plates on the front of low-loaders 'special types goods order'

    All good stuff hey!!

  2. As a full time job I drive a lowloader for a plant hire firm,we have ten Merlo roto's (the name say's it all ::))The model showen is a 40.25(4ton lift and 25m reach)ours are smaller 30.16 (3ton lift and 16m reach) we find people love them as there's much less shunting about on site.

  3. Hello John,Yes Siku  sondermodelle  or limited edition to us,I have that one but there's been three versions of that! Also the original blue with white top,Two Rabe versions(red tilt/yellow tilt)Amazone with print or the current shelf version without and now the Pottinger version!!! I don't bother repainting these I think there's enough out there already!!

  4. Brian if you go to my website click on models, then John Deere and scroll down to the bottom you'll see a JD6910 I made some time ago.It is made from two ERTL JD6410's (to obtain the extra length)and has wheels and other details from a Siku 6920S it came out very well but worked out very expensive.

  5. That IH 1455 was for sale at the Zwolle show at the end of last year. The guy makes a transkit using the UH McCormick MTX175 as a base then he supplies resin cab and bonnet.I belive he sold them built up or as kits.

SorryI don't have any more information but search farmphoto and there may be a link to his website!

  6. Just  to settle the argument gents the wheels I put on the Abbey spreader were Tim wheels from the red and green Agriliner trailer,I do lot's of conversions using Tim mowers and often buy sets which include the trailer but you can buy tractor and trailer or tractor and Joskin tanker sets for around ?7.As for tandem axle rotaspreaders if you look at my website(badly in-need of updating) you will see a tandem axle Fraser Muckmaster based on the Ertl model but with working balance beam suspension,I sold this at Spalding last year but can make more as supplies of the old spreader become available.I will no longer make Abbey spreaders as TractorGA as rights to make them, altough I do find some of his criticisms unfair as the spreader had a realistic start price and I do not dictate the final selling price.
