robl12
I am curious if anyone knows the answer to this. Today whilst I was coming home from the shops I spotted a farmer setting fire to several small rows of straw in the field. I thought that burning stubble was banned or is that only in England and Wales
Kris
In Scotland you may burn stubble and straw. But burning is strongly discouraged by the environmental regulators. Simon
I imagine it's either odds & sods left behind after baling or where he's dragged it up into a pile doing a bit of stubble cultivating - that's what our neighbour did anyway. Light Land
I started a thread on this topic awhile back. We burn almost 1000ac of stubble every year at work.
