Lord Ferguson
What you've jotted down in under the avanter picture about the 500's Marky. Was'nt many the could keep the engine in them for long was there? You are thinking of a 595 Ol old chap... the 550... bomb proof AD3.152, the 565 (gutless but...) reliable A4.236 engine, 575 same engine... a bit gutsier - probably the best engine Perkins have made... Oh.. and the 590... SUPER reliable A4.248 engine from the 188 stable Now... the 595... ergh yuck... nasty old machine... A4.318 perkins... weak head... modified at least twice in it's life... still no good... it was cr@p as a 1080... and not much better as a 595 MKI or MKII really.. but in fairness... they did take some stick as well.. it was, after all only a 90+hp machine - that looked like it could pull like a 115+hp machine. They also suffered from a weak backend too :'(
