neilw
If you direct drill, do you still need to go over after with rollers to firm it up??
Smithy140
where I am we when we drill rape with a subsoiler we press it and roll it to give the slugs no where to go
Deeredriver
Most direct drill have packer wheels so really there is no need to roll
Gav836
A lot of it will depend on soil type and crop being drilled also, no point in rolling sandy soils with min till, heavy soils is always a good idea as slugs use clods to hide under, can decimate plant populations on all crops, particularly OSR.
