rich.new holland
well sometimes it lifts up of the floor then swivels when the hitch is about half way up in which case it drops off to the side and you have to shunt to get back inline well normally i can do it first time but somedays i cant do it to save my life
Lord Ferguson
fair enough... :D - I cheated and bought an extending hitch for mine... that makes life a lot easier

Lord Ferguson
I hope they teach you not to lift a loaded trailer with it extended then
archbarch
there are alot of trailers go over on the road, i think its a combination of poor hitch design, unsuitable tyres and track widths.
ploughmaster
There are enough that don't go over to suggest to me that it is probably more to do with operator error and and poor loading technique. In the OP's case, stacking 6 courses in pillars and a bit of rope to hold them is always going to be unstable. Ideally they need binding in a bit and holding down with straps.
