You can use almost anything, all looks as good with a coat of paint. But i usually use plasticard as it gets the best results, and is easy to work with. Making the sunroofs is easy, the hardest bit is cutting the old one out, alot of drilling and filling required. For windows plasticard is the only stuff as its pretty ridgid and easy to work with, but ive also used the clear stuff celephophane out of the front of the box the models come in for the likes of curved sg2cabbed deeres.

if you want a fixed open one then just glue it in position, dont use super glue mind as it stains the plastic white, use a good airfix type model glue, revel ones good i have found, if you want open, then its down to makeing hinges or drilling fine(very fine) brass rod or similar inot the cabframe and plastic you use to get the finish
