1/16th Log Splitter

Recommended Posts

Here's some pics of another creation for down in the woods to keep my winch tractor company, This Log splitter just a workshop made one, out of an old hydraulic ram and a few rusty lumps of steel, nowt fancy but functional  The model made out of Plastruct box and tube, with single 14s electical wire for the hydraulic pipes.

Pics show it hitched up to a 2nd weathered UH major, this one painted up like an "older" restoration but with a very oily engine :)

Hi Erik, glad you like the Splitter, the farmer is by G and M Originals of Nottingham England, they do 3 different styles, the one pictured standing, one seated with legs apart ( straddling gearbox) and one seated legs together (best suited to flat floor models) but they compliment the models nicely, and a reasonable price too :) Bruder have realesed male and female figures in a loose 1/16th scale too ;)

That is ace, I can imagine the scene I'm that wooded hill side on the farm boundary, river at the bottom if the slope, dry stone wall circling the wood. The winter tyre marks and ruts inbetween the trees....... rusty old tin shed to have a brew in....... Love the latest projects, further proof to your enthusiasm and eye for something different. 8)

Cheers Tris, the major built out of my scrap box..... there a few 1/16th UH been broken up for projects in the past and it seem a shame to waste 'em. There a couple of other projects on the back burner at the momment but i'll get round to them..... eventually :)
