BC
The 39th Scottish Transport Extravaganza will be held on the 13th and 14th July 2013 in the grounds of Glamis Castle. I have attended the show as an exhibitor for over 25 years now and only missed last year because of the weather and the year of fhe foot and mouth when it was cancelled. I will only be there on the Sunday with my 1951 American Farmall Cub.
BC
The weather on Sunday was excellent and I managed to get some photos before an early afternoon departure. I had the opportunity to but it 6 to 7 years ago but after a lot of thought I decided against it since well I'm not really an old car person...just yet
b11jwd
Great photos as usual. I was there too. They deserved a good day after last couple of years. Was very busy too.
BC
Thanks James. Yes I missed last year because of the rain and the year before was a tab wet and muddy so yes they deserved it. Hopefully the crowds will have managed to boast their kitty since it is a very expensive show to stage. I hope the weather is kind to them for their 40th Anniversary next year. Did you mange to get any models

BC
Yes I'll bet they were James but I'm sure they did well and probably made quite a bit of money for the scouting movement which is good. I personally prefer to give my trade and money to such organisations than some of those profiteering caterers who think it is alright to charge £ 1.50 for a can of coke or orange etc that can be bought at a "Cash and Carry" or a "Costco" for around 30 pence a can. I don't mind anyone making an honest living but I do not condone profiteering. It was fine and cool when i had my breakfast and for £6 it was very good value and kept me going for most of the day apart from my three diet cans of coke for 30 pence each which I took along in the cool box in the boot of my car....a true born and bred Aberdonian me and proud of it
