BC
Glad you like them Barry. More to follow later. It was a bright and sunny day but it was high up and bitterly cold. I could only wear a glove on my left hand so by the end of the day my shutter button hand was numb. Problem now solve I have invested in a pair of fingerless gloves
BC
Past world champion Dave Carnegie was send in the reversibles. Scott Alexander did not make the top three in the reversibles on the day. John Morrison from Macduff won the reversible class and was overall match champion. Gordon Beattie from Insch was 3rd in the reversibles and was also the league winner in the reversibles.
BC
Ian Williams from Maud won the conventional class Mark Skea from Inverurie was second in the conventional. John Goodfellow from Bridge of Don Neil Duncan from Keith wasn't pleased with performance when I spoke to him at the Black Isle last weekend and said he hoped I had not taken any photos of him at the Supermatch Ian Macdonald from Grange was third in the conventional and won the league and won teh best combined feering and finish. BC
Geordie Murrison from the Drum of Wartle on the left and Harvey Sutherland from Kingswells on the right. Harvey was the winner of the "best Plot Vintage Mounted" Ross Macdonald from Westhill was 3rd in teh vintage mounted. Charlie Macdonald from Millbank near Sauchen was second but I was hearing from him yesterday he had 10 points deducted because he finished a minute or so late. Well I had to think to myself rules are rules and had he spent that minute "newsing" less he could have been the winner. So in my book he has no one but himself to blame David Hosie was the winner in the vintage single furrow class. Robert Paterson was 3rd in the same class. Derek Duguid on the left and Andy Cheetam on the right.
BC
Andy Cheetham. Derek Duguid. Neil Ross was 2nd in the single furrow class and league winner. Andy Cheetham makes his finish.
BC
Andy Cheetham's finish. Mark Skea Oh dear Bob Milne from Pitmedden and in his fist year in the conventional class struck a stone and despite trying to correct it he has made it worse but that won't put Bob up nor down...he will just laugh it off Nice tidy tractor which was bought from the Botanical Gardens in Edinburgh. Wullie Grieve from Perth with his Ford 400o and Ford 4600 front wheel drive conversion. Dave Carnegie males some final adjustments.
BC
Gordon Hepburn from Elgin wasn't in the first 3 but he said he didn't deserve to be Davie Milton from Grange was doing a fine job but he hit a stone and he failed to finish by the allotted finish time. Hands up I cannot remember who's rig this is but it is in the 2 furrow reversibles...I think
BC
Bob Milne actually made not a bad finish given his run in with a stone earlier and the related bends Ian Williams getting ready for loading up Ah sideways ploughing to give his pal Bob Milne a better chance in the conventional class
