BC
I had planned to take my 1957 Nuffield Universal DM4 and 1941 International Farmall A to the 50th rally since both attended the 25th year rally and my late father got first with my Nuffy and I got second with my A but sadly despite getting my Nuffield ready I only took the A since the weather was not looking good for roading the Nuffield a 50 round mile trip. It poured down on Saturday evening but on the day at the show it ended up dry and sunny. I loaded my A before the rain started around noon and after cleaning the brass bits I covered them and any shiny bits with tin foil to keep off the water. At the end of the day I was placed 2nd with my Farmall A in the pre 1950 tractor class so I was well pleased getting the same placing 25 years on and 32 years after it had been restored
BC
There were 49 tractors entered ...11 in the pre 1950 class and 38 in the post 1951 to 1989 class. 1950 David Brown Cropmaster with DB cultivator but with quite a few Ferguson added extras My 1941 Farmall A was the third oldest tractor at the show. Eric Proctor from Alford had the oldest tractor at the show a 1928 Farmall Regular and a tricky tractor to load onto a trailer given the metal wheels and the width of the rears. A late entry a MF 135 from Billy Cassie from Inverurie. 1964 International 414 owned by Mike Watt the President's son Robert who had restored it when 50 especially for the 50 th anniversary show. A late entry a Leyland
