52nd Scottish Ploughing Championships - Kinross 25/26 October 2014

Yes John I think there were about 8 pair listed in the program but I did not have time to get stopped at them on the Saturday.The event was more spread out then at Wick and was a very hilly area and only three tractors and trailers moving spectators about. I did manage to get a few photos of the ones which qualified for the plough off on Sunday just as I was leaving around 2 pm and the rain was really coming on.

On to the trailing class. The ground conditions did not seem to suit these ploughmen since most were leaving stubble showing.

Well that's it from me from the 52nd Scottish Ploughing Championships at Kinross.

 

Next year it is being held on 24th and 25th October 2015 at Pitgaveny Farms, Elgin in Morayshire. It will also include the Five Nations Challenge 2015.

 

My Saturday night stop over is already booked for the event and I hope the weather is kinder than this year ;D  ;D
