Janval
Has anyone had any experience buying models from China, Hong Kong etc.? I usually find several models on sale at a fairly low price, always assumed that these are fake or something. Has anyone ever bought one? Seems too good to be true! Janval
Thanks, I've seen a few of those bogus listings aswell. Like a Weise MB Trac (free shipping and bidding started at £0,5 or something), I thought why not - If i get it at the lowest bid it ain't that big of a risk. Turns out that the listing was removed right before the bidding was supposed to end. In general I'm skeptic about these sellers, but then again, it might just be legit. That Renault I've linked below, just to compare prices, I would have to pay about £74 for it through a Norwegian store. Pretty big difference there. Then again, if I purchase anything above £34/35 I have to pay 25% additional VAT upon customs. There are some interesting ones like these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/REPLICAGRI-1-32-CASE-IH-MAGNUM-7120-DIECAST-/282514746223?hash=item41c730eb6f:g:S2UAAOSwdzVXqxEYhttp://www.ebay.com/itm/1-32-Scale-REPLICAGRI-FIAT-880-Traktor-Tractor-model-/252958601722?hash=item3ae581f1fa:g:VMYAAOSw5cRZJ8ymhttp://www.ebay.com/itm/1-32-Scale-REPLICAGRI-RENAULT-133-14-TX-Traktor-Tractor-model-/252958602283?hash=item3ae581f42b:g:DiIAAOSw9OFZJ8zEhttp://www.ebay.com/itm/Replicagri-1-32-Renault-981-4-REP125-/172692749672?hash=item28354a3d68:g:V9QAAOSwDiBZFVHGhttp://www.ebay.com/itm/Replicagri-1-32-Renault-751-REP121-/172696975103?hash=item28358ab6ff:g:jnQAAOSwtGlZFVJVhttp://www.ebay.com/itm/REPLICAGRI-1-32-RENAULT-120-Diecast-Modellino-ERP-130-/112435141728?hash=item1a2da81c60:g:NHEAAOSw4CFYwQFX
mb86
I do the same as mark if I am unsure about a seller and read the feedback. Say for arguments sake you buy an item from china and it doesn't turn up, aren't you protected by eBay or PayPal and will be refunded by them anyway? Janval
Just went through with a case like that when I bought a fidget spinner for my daughter, wasn't more than £2 or something, but still. The seller never sent it, and suddenly wasn't a member anymore. Didn't take that long though, just a week or something that was mandatory so the seller could be able to respond. Then on the day that expired, I got a message about a refund from ebay. It might have been a different case than usual, I don't know. I also sent Ebay a message stating that I had messaged the seller prior to, and after I opened the case to give him/her a fair chance.
Janval
My primary concern however, was if the models were badly made replicas or items that has been faulty from the production line or something. I tried contacting one of these sellers a while back, without any response.
