Britains Fordson DDNs with blue cabs .

Hello everyone.I haven't been on here much lately due to the better weather bringing gardening etc.I have also been busy getting ready to dabble in motocross part time.I am still doing a bit of converting and restoring though .Can anyone tell me the story behind the blue cabs sometimes seen on Britains Fordson DDNs.I have only seen them on tractors from European countries .Were they produced blue by Britains for export ? Or have some people been painting them ?I would like to find out just for curiosity really.

They were/are blue plastic (ie not painted) & the story I heard  was that they were for the Scandinavian/Eoropean market, but I've no idea why. Obviously several have got back here over the years.

Thanks for that Nigel,its been bugging me for ages .

I did have a feeling they could have been export only .

I haven't any in my collection ,just they grey ones .

I have a couple of them in my collection. The ones I have bought are all from a couple of guys from denmark. Also al the ones I have seen till know were from guys from Denmark, so I think they were probably made for that country.
