MJB1
well done rich , coming along nicely mate , think the colours you picked will go wel together , but what of the floor? going to concrete it or just leave the axminster ?
rich.new holland
thanks mjb ye its going to be concreted and im going to paint black lines across to make it look like the groves that stop the cows slipping, if you get wat i mean
rich.new holland
mjb i tried cutting strips down for yorkshire boading but it split the front bit of the wood off so i left it , you can see one cut in the merlo picture just behind it
MJB1
i know what you mean rich , but isn't that cut at the bottom ? i usually put two boards together to get a bit more rigid resistance , that way the board doesn't flex too much when cutting, as for the floor if you're using hardboard , just turn it rough side up & apply the grey /brown paint thinly , the rough pattern will give you the grooved floor effect
rich.new holland
yes i put it at the bottom thinking i was going to get some concrete block pattern paper but im going to paint it now so it will have to be turned around :D i see what you mean ill try that next time im cutting and ill get some hard board and do it that way thanks mjb
