GreenSheetAndYellowRims
i was driving with our lorry today near cologne.as i saw this. ok it is a round baler from krone.but witch one? it looks like from the design, nearly the new class square baler QUADRANT 3400. but it is an round baler because on the backside is a uniwrap unit. and also there was no lables on it! is it maybe a prototype ore an zero serial? may anyone know more about? here is the pic of the baler, sorry for the mess it was impossible to get ther closer (there was an fenceless)

Tractorman810
no markings ,has to be a prototype of some sort, but the colours a tad of a give away for the make isn't it

gromittigger
looks like krone central it must be were they test new machines as they are all krone \ They do what we all do - find a loyal customer and place the machine there FOC to see if he can find the weak points during a normal contractor season. gromittigger
no the bailer is setup in the yard the corn is fed into the bailer bale made very carefully comes out the back and wrapped What! you are joking! Its a Variable bale chamber baler combination - the reason its a prototype is that Vicon is the only Variable chamber version on the market - Krone is trying to get in on the act , as fixed chamber combinations cannot do 5' straw. The chamber for Krone is chain and slat wereas most balers are belt. The picture is from europe - you can see the drawbar in the high top link position and not in the uk pickup position

gromittigger
try this Yes I see where your coming from but this type of machine is hydraulically driven hense the tractor to the side of the machine and they come with hoppers or elevators to load the machine. :) Below is what I think it is but with a variable chain and slate machine in the frame instead of a fixed chamber The guarding is their new style that is currently been fitted to the big square.
