especially @ green shirt ....

not exactly the same one, but comparable and really worth for model-craftship - does this help?:

The Glimmer from LEMKEN ensures a clean surface

Alpen (Germany), September 2003 - With its Glimmer shallow plough LEMKEN presents a new implement system optimally uniting the advantages of conventional and of conservation tillage.

Shallow inversion of the soil is a technique that has been successfully carried out for years, particularly in organic crop production, because it is particularly effective method of mechanical weed control. Topsoil inversion through shallow ploughing is also effective in reducing crop disease pressure from plant left-overs on the field surface. The new Glimmer shallow plough from LEMKEN is best used after the first shallow stubble cultivation and subsequent germination of grain losses and weed seeds. The new implement leaves a top layer of completely inverted soil and therefore a clean field surface. Using the Glimmer with its integrated FixPack furrow press means low labour and energy inputs in producing a drill-ready field.

With a power requirement of approx. 30 kW per meter working width the Glimmer can cover as many hectares per day as a cultivator or disc harrow. Because the Glimmer is based on the swing plough principle it requires only one row of ploughshares. The special form of the ploughshare ensures clean inversion work with shallow ploughing, but also at working depths down to 20 cm.

The 160 mm square section swing device of the Glimmer plough is attached to the plough frame with a generously dimensioned 140 mm square section. A double-acting hydraulic ram swings the plough frame to allow left-hand or right-hand topsoil inversion.

The design of the LEMKEN Glimmer means it is substantially cheaper and lighter than conventional fully mounted reversible models. This weight advantage means that the Glimmer is easily handled by the tractor on headlands and during road transport. The under frame clearance of 75 cm and the 60 cm interbody claerance gives blockage-free incorporation of straw and other surface trash during shallow ploughing.

Overload protection features a double-cut shearbolt system for each plough body. A non-stop overload safety system is also available, e.g. for work on stony land. The rear land slides are each 28 cm in length and the swivel mounting gives the Glimmer consistent ploughing performance in the field.

The new shallow plough from LEMKEN will be available with working widths of three and four meters from June 2004. For working widths of over four metres the Glimmer will be available as a semi-mounted model.
