PDC
I've been going through my spares today and decided to build myself a JD 6830. Pictures shortly ;)
PDC
I've got plenty of these JD 6920 chassis's from all the 6420's of made : Also have a spare 7530 with no cab as this was the very first one I bought to modify the roof prior to casting without the steering knob ;)
PDC
Then I removed all detail from under the floorpan and removed the tube next to the seat where the steering rod fits ;)
PDC
Next I removed part of the chassis at the front so I can fit the UH front linkage ;) Also note the handle removed from the rear linkage and the bolt to hold the chassis together at the rear ;)

PDC
I've been up since 6.30 with the litt'un : So i've cracked on with the 6830 ;) I've now removed the lower engine covers from the 7530 chassis and stuck them to the plasticard which i lined the inside of the bonnet with ;) The chassis has the front linkage attached (and the rear is stuck to it) so I can spray both sections ;) I have also hand painted the front axle leaving the front mudguards black ;) I've also started painting the interior ;) Pictures soon :

PDC
Just got to paint the fuel tank etc and fit the steering wheel ;) The camera makes the chassis (painted JD green) and the Siku bits look miles out paint match wise but to the naked eye you can hardly see the difference ;)

PDC
Just taken the lower chassis back up the shed and resprayed it as I wasn't happy with the 'satin' finish on the front linkage :
