  1. HOLY cow. Jason, that is the finest looking magnum I have seen in 1/32 to date. Care to share what tractor u started with. From what I know which is debatable all the 1/32 scale CIH's where smaller sized. OR did you stretch and widen the hood as well? It looks stock. Anyway, Looks fantastic. Only thing I would add is the front wheels from the new magnums. the 305 or whatever. Has the planitary detail. Nice choice of tires though.
  2. Here you go Sean. Both Models are made in real life. Saw 1 today. http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n116/kahlld/Tractor%20Pics%2007/CIH30520thAnnivMagnum.jpg The 535 Picture was taken by Jason Hasert in KY. This is the tractor I saw today, but didnt get to stop and really look at it. http://ttstimes.com/images/nfts079.jpg
  3. Its a program just like solidworks. The guys that started the solidworks company used to work for the company that made Pro-E. I find solidworks alot easier to use, and it imports drawings from most major other companies including autocad. Anyway. IF I can help with drawings let me know. I know autocad like the back of my hand. I use it daily at work so I can try and help you with set up. MB would you mind PMing me your email address. I have several wheel projects I would like to do. Some in 1/32 scale and a couple in 1/64th scale. That would be great. Thanks Dusty
  4. What your live in NA and you dont have that tractor? Your crazy. I like wheeled tractors but I do prefer wide duals to triples. TYes this a a very nice qt now as well but the original is pretty nice. ANyway. just had to give you a hard time.
  5. Rick, I think between the 2 of us we can keep him busy with American parts
  6. Im a bit late to this game but the tyres in the first pic, are they orginal. I need 8 of those babys for my 9390. Now if I can get MT to make make me some rims to fit. Anyway thanks for the help. That Claas looks great.
  7. Thats exactly what Im talking about. I had the plan to do that as well but I only got 1 QT. Im not sure and it may be my eyes but the older version STX had more of a angled ladder. The new ones are like what you have and IM not sure they pivot like the old ones when the tractor was turned. ANyway, I had a plan to mold and cast the fenders to do this conversion but Im to slow and to many projects behind so you beat me to it. It looks great. U get the front fenders done I would take a pair off your hands
  8. Very good MB. I have had the same though but would only do the design of them. Where are u from? I am interested in having 1/64th wheels done too for combines and 4wd tractors here in america. I use solidworks as well. I havent had time to design a wheel but I need to. Im also interested in 1/32 wheels for american 4wd tractors that use the treleborg's and stuff. Keep us posted. u should be able to import a pro-e file with little problems.
  9. Perfect American style Hitch bud. I need to email him and get a couple of hitches for projects.
  10. That is very cool. Much Much better then the plain Scale Models one. This sure makes me want to get my tractor done. Great job dude.
  11. I think its April or May if I remember right. I could be way off. Im just guess based on when the last tractor was released compared to when they started taking pre orders. I to hope its another 1/32 artic. Maybe the new Cat MT series:)
  12. Bill I was wondering if the 3pt from the Euro tractor would fit the NA version. I am kinda surprised that you didnt put the standard hitch that Europe uses for their 32nd scale models. Anyway, like I said before, they both look great. I know Ertl doesnt condone customizing but being able to swap the 3pt to the NA tractor and putting 9230 decals on it would be cool. Use the rims and tires from the 8400 precision. Thanks again Bill. Your work is greatly appreciated.
  13. Great idea. I was trying to think of Kits but didnt think about older military using cummins engines. My search is on.
  14. Hey guys. I need a pretty detailed Cummins 6 cyl engine. One that is complete and not open on top so I can make an opening hood. I dont remember the model number of engine but it is going into a Steiger Puma. Hope you guys can help. Here in the US all the tractor engines done have enough detail for an opening hood.
  15. Hot, HOT, Although I cant wait to see the floating hitch style I agree with everyone else. You know how to scratch build impliments.
  16. No I have not asked the builder. I was thinking it was a production model but I guess not? I will have to go back and email him. Your so smart Rick
  17. IM still searching for the perfect tire:) Can anyone tell me what tire this is and approximate size? http://www.agrium-models.com/gfx/tanker_hispec3.jpg Thanks
  18. That looks so freaking cool. a nice 16 row would look great on a new caseIH Puma. I need to get me a tractor so I can make one of those...Or you:) On a side not, does the puma have a US 3pt hitch or is it the Euro style hitch that Ertl uses?
  19. I love it. Sure would like one to go behind my Cat MT some day
  20. I can only try and help as I am not a great custom builder. I always have to have others make what I want Anyway. I assume you are from across the pond. That being the East side of the pond. Over here in the states it is used to deweed as you call it after the plant has grown several inches high. Corn, beans, etc, most row crops. The picture you have posted is a 1/16 scale model/toy. Do you guys have the real deal over there? Over here we plant on 22 inch rows or 30 inch rows. That is the most common. SO spacing isnt that hard. First I would determine how many rows you want to cultivate in one pass. People over here match their planter. 16 rows is VERY common with 24 and 32 rows growing. Over there I dont think you have stuff this big as you have smaller roads to travel on and what not. I recomend doing a 6 or 8 row version. You should be able to scratch build this pretty easy without measurements, at least for your first attempt and then figure out what you want to change or add to the model to make it better. Search on the web for rowcrop cultivator. You can also try www.ironsearch.com or www.agdealer.com. They sell list used equipment for dealers over here. Get some pictures of different angles and go for it. It probably wont be perfect but it will give you an idea what it will take. As for resin casting. GreenSheetand YellowRims should be able to help you as he has casted tires and what not. But build the shank pieces and supports, then lay them out with the spacing you want and measure how wide you need to make the main toolbar. Hope this helps
  21. I was thinking the same thing. Im slowly working on tracking some parts. Im mainly looking for broken stuff that retailers cant sell as a model. It might be a good idea to get one and tear it down anyway. As for the TJ, it is made my scale models. The rims and Tires are junk. I like to keep the detail up as much as possible. The new Big Roy rims have the planatary and look good, although a bit small for the size I need I was going to try and make them work. Im still thinking on the best route for rims. I may just have some Milled out of ALUM and be done with it. The rims from the Ertl NH 9884 and Buhlers are nice too but at 42in tall they wont fit a 38in tire either. Oh well. This is all part of the fun. Im am also working on something new. I know alot of you like to put tracks on the stx. Being the perfectionist I am, Im am working on redoing the correct fenders for a quad track, and also some better looking wheels for the tracks. Not sure when Ill get them done but hopefully I will have a few for you guys to buy if you want. Im still hopeing for a new STX quad precision. But I think my hopes are glim. Not sure if ertl will ever do another RED precisionII or not. Would even like a 2588 combine but that wont happen. Anyway.. Thanks for all the help guys. IF you think of other ideas please let me know.
  22. Thats fine Rick. Im in no hurry. I think Im going to rebuild the cab anyway to make it not so thick and add glass and intiror to it too.
  23. Thanks, Guys. Rick Ill call Email Shannon today. For you US guys. Can you tell me what size the rim is on these. The 9390 can only handle a 38in rim with this size tire. One other question. Does anyone have a picture of the face of the tire on the CX880. To me it looks like the same tire that Ertl used on the CR970 but just put duals on them. The Siku tractors seem to have a wider tire then those are.
  24. Let me know how much Rick. Any chance you have the suppliers email or web address. Mirror seem to vary alot across tractor brands. BUt its a start. Im searching ebay for a cheap STX and 9420. I have both in my collection but dont want to strip them down to make parts from.
