  1. Thanks, It sure is a challenge for me. I can tell you anything you need to know about 1/64 but not 1/32. I have lots of learning to do. Tires seem to be the hardest part for me as here in the states we dont have many options. I hope I can change that some day. And the other parts like lights and what not. I might just have to buy a precision and rob the parts from it. I hope I can make this tractor what it should be.
  2. Ok guys. My first project tractor showed up yesterday. Its a CIH 9390 artic. I would really love to make it into a precision like the stx but I think that is way to much work for my first project. Anyway. I need to find parts. From my other TIRE thread IM still trying to track down where to get these tires. IM also looking for some one who has junked a STX precision. I need all sorts of stuff from it. Work lights, mirrors, draw bar, engine. Being we dont have alot of parts out there for sale I was hoping to resin cast the work lights along with some JD 9420 lights so we can all have lights on our tractors. Im also looking for suitcase weights to cast. Right now I need ones for my 9390 but will take any that you guys might want done in the future. There is one more thing well 2 more things. We dont have nice detailed rims. Well at least no here in the states. On this tractor there is an outboard planetary. If any of you have an Ertl NH or Buhler tractor thats the style I need. I just need the Dual setup instead of the triples though. I also thought about trying to find the DCP Versatile Big Roy tires and Rims. That has the same design in a smaller rim. IF any of you guys have these parts please let me know. Thanks guys Dusty
  3. Just want to add, that there is a construction calculator available at Lowes or Home Depot here in the states. Im not sure what you have over there, but your home improvement store should have them. Now I dont know if your Euro guys will have the same product or not but over here this calculator works great. I can plug in a fraction, hit the (in) key and it will convert it to a decimal. Then I hit CONV and MM and it gives me the MM number. Works great to convert it the other way as well. The Calculator is made by calculated industries. Can be found here. http://www.calculated.com
  4. This is a great idea. I would even offer to help. Ill put all the info into an excel spreadsheat that I can email everyone if they want. But I guess first we need some info:) I cant help there very much. But I will measure the few tractors that I do have along with my NH CR970 combine.
  5. Thanks for the help fellas. Been out of town for the last week so IM playing catch up. As for the tire sizes...The NHs seem to be the best bet. For the impliment tires Im still searching. IF someone can lead me to the Siku lemken big harrow tires I think they would work just fine for the cart/trailer. The Impliment tires are 9.92mmX11.9mm. 9.92mm being the size of the rim opening. Obviously I need rims too. Anyway. Thanks again for the help guys.
  6. GSAYR For Short. I got it. Ill work on getting info for you. Thanks for the welcome guys. I really do like 1/32 these days. I just wish I had the resources you all do. Hopefully in the future I can show some scratch built stuff that I hope will be almost precision style and as nice as all of yours.
  7. Hello fellow 1/32 scale collectors/customizers. Im from the USA so Im working on making models from here. This is what Im trying to make. http://www.bourgault.com/airdrill/images/5710_250x166.jpg My question is, does anyone make tires to fit on this piece of equipment. The Tire size is 12.5LX15 and 9.5LX15. It is 54 Feet wide and 102 Inches deep. Im also working on the seed cart and need tires for that. 26Lx28 for the rear, but I dont know what size for the front. Im also wanting to do a conversion on a few 4x4 tractors. I want to put Wide duals on them. Like Treleborgs 800X60X38 or something like that. I dont think I can use the Floater tire as that is to wide for duals. While Im here, I might as well ask this too. Im looking for extra ertl precision parts. US Parts mostly, like drawbars from the STX, Work Lights from the STX and 9420T, Weights, Combine cab from the 9760 harvestor. Engines Tires and Rims. Im trying to get a stock pile of parts here in the US so I dont have to import stuff all the time. My goal is to get the 1/32 farm toys more known around the US as I think its a very fine scale for detail and realizum. Thanks for all your help. THis place seems like a very fine place indeed. Dusty
