Haha, Boss's dads TS110A has numerous electrical faults and is rather gutless! And i haven't heared many good things about other peoples

I agree with Tris, 60 seris or a TM Dont go much on TSA's seem to lack in power and have a few problems. The TS's are alright tractors seem to hold there value well! Or if you were going Massey i think a 6270 would go well, proper tractors they are!

Had this handler in for its regular service, the pictures i took were after 3 hours with the steam cleaner and i rekon i could of done at least another 2 Its had a bit of a hard life on a mixed farm and theres a fair bit of rust forming where it can. Its had various problems including the transfer box went, the air con packed up, various changing of pins in the front head stock, metal oil pipes split and the latest one the hand brake button had pretty much wore out. Some problems were due to lack of care others just cause its a badly built machine. Its cost the owner thousands in repair's! So what do you think the hours are? I cant tell you the year cause the number plate got scat off

Everyones started some where? I started working for and agricultural engineer when i was 12 doing stuff like tidying the workshops and cleaning off tractors and i am 16 now and i am trusted to do clutch jobs on tractors and and work on and put new brand new equipment together... Ive been talking to Josh as well and he started driving a tractor when he was 7 and has slowly worked up and got better and is now trusted to do more things now hes 14 so that's 7 year experience.. I get the feeling that older members might be a tad jealous that they could not start working on big kit, that they had to start off doing harder stuff and it was harder to become ex perinced. Tractor driving isn't as hard as it used to be with confort and electrics taking the hard labour about of the old jobs. Yes there are rules there for a reason, but i don't know many people who was brought up on a farm and wasn't driving a tractor and using a PTO by the age of 14? The rule for use of the PTO is 16... and you still don't get the point that he asked advice on a machine, not what he should or shouldn't be doing.

Whats up with the forum these days? Josh started a topic asking about peoples opions on fastracs. Half the replies are saying no you shouldn't be driving one, your not old enough experienced etc. He never asked any opions on what he should be doing or not? He just wanted to know what Fastracs are like... 'if young school kids really do what they say we all better get new jobs' Times have changed, younger people are trusted with bigger kit these days, back in the day everyone started off on a 35 but now they can start on an 150hp tractor? If Josh is having the responsilbility to drive one of this the boss must know and trust him that he has experience and can handle it? Yes you do need a ticket to drive a telehandler and the ticket is there to get for a reason, i know many people who were driving one from young ages, as long there supervised and know the dangers they should be fine, cant say i would risk doing it but if the employer chooses to take that risk its his choice. Josh just asked for some advice on a tractor....not a lecture on what he and young people should be doing When i used to ask for advice on here, i was really gratefull for the great replys i got.. but this dosnt seem to happen anymore

Ive got the Siku Massey 7278 and the Claas Lexion 600. They are both strong playable models but both feature good detail, removable headers with trailers. The Masseys header is 20ft and the Claas's is 30ft, i would recommend both models. Hope this helps.

Yeah that Steyr dose look a nice machine. My mate has one in Case colours (cs) and he thinks its a good tractor! Could be worthy of conversion

Had exactly the same thoughts.. you cannot beat the 10 series! These new ones look way too big, ugly and just technology that's going to cost but you dont need it. Tractor driving is becoming full of all these snazzy computers and gizmo's and gadjets which might be usefull but you need a degree in I.C.T to use them. Just my opinion

From what i know it dosnt give you much in yeild you can just harvest earlyer, i was told if you put a 100 acres under plastic it cost the same as 110 acres normally. I dunno if what i said is right just what ive been told

Havnt had a layout or anything in a while so i thought i would do a littel somthing.. The Farm Grows 650 acres of ceral crops - Wheat, Barley, Oats and a Few fields of OSR. 200 acres of Potatoes, 250 acres of Grass and 50 acres of Maize. To cover the 1150 acres there are a fleet of 8 tractors- Massey: 595, 6140+loader, 6190, 6265, 6270 and loader , 6490, 5480 and a JCB 3185 fastrac. The combine is a Massey 7278, and theres also a JCB 526 tele handler. They do most of there own work and rarley have contractors in to do anything. Pictures to follow tommorow

The most common size sheds i see are made of of 15x30ft bays 4 -6 of them hope this helps
