  1. We are arable contractors on farm contracts with just over 3300 acres but also just taken operations over a local 600 acre farm!

    This year we have

    1800 acres of Wheat

    850 acres of OSR

    650 acres of Spring Barley

    50 acres of Linseed

But depending on year we have can also have peas and beans in the mix.  We also handle the contract farms setaside, various schemes and game covers etc

  2. If it makes it to the end of the day?

I'm sorry ricky but with deere's current record of reliability and fuel use it be parked up first!

We have a JD 7530 and hired in a NH T7060 to pull my plough this season and one things for certain there will never be another deere on this farm!! The NH coped with 7f very well for 220hp (its  mounted on land plough so no light weight) the deere has constant niggles, gearbox is well rubbish its the worst cvt on the market! And it drinks like there's no tomorrow! NH T7060 was drinking same in a day as JD but with an extra furrow and in harder conditions this year! I will add I was a blue hater but I loved it and prepared to eat my words

We have looked at new 6r and 7r and for money they are were looking at case or claas as replacement and even a 724 as cheaper for better spec!

  3. Looking better gav, any reason why no tungsten? I'm all tungsten and for this season been superb my landslides, shares, skimmer points and shins are now on 1100+ acres (on a 7f though)

  4. What is supposed to be our drilling tractor but due to constant GPS issues only did 500 acres or so drilling this season.  But the cab is miles ahead of the challenger for comfort and noise level (our real bug bear with the cat) It is now on the 7f due to hire tractor having gone back

Thats all i can find for now :)    but thank you we farm 3300 acres all under arable cropping

  5. Then rest of the season in-between my spraying workloads was spent ploughing with the hire NH which really impressed me this season engine has brilliant torque back-up which made up for the horrendous gearbox!  We had a demo NZ which did a brilliant job leveling ploughing just lacking a packer

  6. Well here's a selection from this years harvest from me.  Well not so many of harvest as I was on cultivation's all season.  How we move farms always hitch the two trailers together saves a lot of time and the new tyres we have on the 7530 710/600 xeobibs.  We won them in a competition for the season they are the best tyres I've ever used was running at 8psi on grain trailers and well within there design capacity at speed.  Then this years hire tractor NH T7060 mainly to pull the 7f LO 85

  7. As a full time sprayman think I should clear a few things up with this sprayer.  It is one of the best on the Market the ground clearance is slightly better then a Bateman etc. And I can assure you it would spend half it's year that low on pre em's etc and on hills you can adjust it to your needs and safety. There are a lot features that make it outstanding but the price tag to match. And for OSR it's brilliant as a smooth underbelly unlike 75% other sp. But will add I don't run one I have a sands slc4000 doing a lot of work but have been shopping for it's replacement  ;D

Hope the model moves and is worth the money at that price though thats unreal!

  8. Oh brilliant - take care the dog (which shouldn't be in the cab in the first place) doesn't get injured, but don't give a monkeys about the driver slipping and breaking his neck!!!

Serious H&S infringement which would certainly get pointed out during an HSE inspection, and may well have negative implications for employers liability insurance too - the cab steps have a safety function in the grips incorporated in the design and removing this by covering them up is actionable.

Were else am I gonna put her she, not gonna let her run a long side while I'm spraying

  9. Well we were gonna make a start tomo as had no rain since yesterday lunch time and weren't due any.... well just had 7mm of rain >:( >:(  Why didn't this come when we actually flaming needed it!!!!!!!!!!
