Joe.
Don't think you have anything to worry about they look pretty damn good !!!!

Tris..........oh no wait that has already been done
I think perhaps a transport box for horses or a set of buildings from an old English farmstead (ala Emmerdale Farm)

I was going to ask you about the scale (if there was one?) as to display space I have been relegated to the basement so I currently have a 25 x 14 space you are welcome to use

That is a great new addition to the collection. Thanks for all of the photos, nice to see skilled craftspeople at work. IMO you can't beat the realism in BFA products they are second to none. I don't collect them but always marvel at them when I see them in the shops. Great stuff.

Very nice Rich.

not a bad model one of the last britains to have a decent hitch
Have to agree there, of the tractors from that era, it was one of the few that could the implements up.

Oh my word... yet another MF must have .. thanks for sharing Erik
I would suggest with Christmans coming Marky that you purchase these MF products and wrap them up for your kids. That way they get a gift and you get what you want without breaking the bank !! :D

That is cool !!
I bet money that in a few years the price will drop and they will become common in the marketplace and many homes will have one.

Are modern alloys & moulding methods capable of producing such fine mouldings (e.g. cats, rabbits & farmer's daughter) in metal to a high quality at a reasonable price (in China)? There are lots of 1950s plastic figures, not just Herald, and not just farm ranges, which would make great metal figures.
A few examples: Cavendish: 18th century soldiers, King Henry VIII & Wives, Ceremonial soldiers,
and Timpo solids: Knights, Waterloo, Cowboys/Indians & 8th Army sets,
I would say so I collect the William Britains soldiers and they have some fantastic highly detailed figures.
-
They had a good long run though. Although not the same moulds all the time (i.e. not as good as the 1st versions ), the shepherd has been essentially the same figure since 1957, the scarecrow since 1961.
Be nice if Britains could do a limited edition run of some of the older (Herald) figures, say a dozen different value packs comprising different animals and people.

I'm sorry to hear that, Scott. How did she manage that? Oh and how is your father nowadays?
Trying to do too many things at once and wasn't watching where she was going. Although granted she isn't as spry as she once was either. Dad is still not the same as he was before the accident, his humour is there etc.... but physically he gets tired easy, and is very lethargic whcih wasn't him, he was always on the go.
Thanks for asking Tris.

Hearing my Mum has broken her ankle and smashed in her kneecap (same leg) Trouble is that was her good leg so now she is almost bed ridden until it heals.

Yep, especially the antarctic explorers and the various national & ballet dancers.
I have the five sled dogs but nothing else from the arctic series.
-
That is too cool some of those Britains are now as rare as hens teeth. Thanks for the heads up.

GCSE's first took place in 1988. I took them in 1988 and remember them being a big deal as we were the first to do them.

typical, did you see the new drive through service they are trialing, you online order, pay, then take the slip to the store and they drop the bags into the boot costs 2 quid??
Now that would be worth 2 quid to not have to traipse through the store !!
-
nice one rich, seems so long since i took my 9 gcse's :of
Yeah me to 22 years ago to be precise :of :of :'(

Awesome Mark, good to see Ford Farm is alive and well, some awesome additions while I have been away. All of them look great. Thanks for sharing your snaps with us.

Until recently I hadn't paid too much attention to BFA studies. The when thinking of a 10th wedding anniversary for the missus I had a eureka moment and thought about BFA. The missus is well into horses so I went into a local gifty type shop and as luck has it they do BFA. For information the shop is Leslie Ward in Diss, Norfolk. He is the only one in just about all East Anglia that does BFA. Well to cut a very long story short I ordered and have recieved 'all set for appelby fair', by Ray Ayres. It is still in the shop until said anniversary. I tell you, I looked at it for a solid half hour! It is one hell of a piece of art! I was also glued to the tractor studies as well - has a cabinet with several in.
I will post a picture when I get it - but it will never do it any kind of justice.....
All in all, 'if only I had the money' for more!! :'(
Had to google it :D Very nice piece also found another called bought at market which is in a similar vein.
What have you been doing or plan on doing today?

Sorry to hear that Bill but glad to hear that he seems to be on the mend and hopefully will be back in his own home soon.
