Yeah, all of them in the same field.  A few days later I saw Challenger with the 10-furrow Lemken in an adjacent field.

Not used to seeing those tracked machines round here........Can only think of one or two about........

I've only seen tracked machines in the Borders and East Lothian - perhaps the clay soils are a factor?

They are nice models Richard but I'm with you, they do seem to be releasing loads of mowers and tedders - perhaps a little more variety needed?  Certainly some smaller or vintage machines would be good.

I'm hoping to make it along too this year, just don't fancy the long drive if it is tipping it down so we'll see...

Great mowers - when can we expect those?  And will there be PTO shafts from tractor to mowers?

Yeah I know Bill - would have loved some action shots - the light was excellent too.  Didn't look like there was much left to do in that field or the surrounding area.  There's some big machines in those parts - remember seeing a couple of tracked JDs charging down the A1 near here a couple of years ago!

Caught sight of this big beastie stationary in a field at Innerwick near Dunbar.  One of the access panels seemed missing, exposing chains and cogs - perhaps a breakdown?  No sign of driver or any workers nearby.

For power station enthusiasts, the large white buildings are Torness Nuclear Power Station.  A decade ago an RAF Tornado crashed less than one kilometre away in the Firth Of Forth after the crew safely guided the stricken aircraft clear of the station...

Nice kit.  Whereabouts was this in Scotland?

There is a lack of red combines up here James .

Saw 3 combines in one field near me this afternoon ,  & although not easy to get to field  it is possible , but as they were 2 JD & a Claas , I did not attempt to go photo them  .

Yeah Iain JD and Claas have the market cornered, that's why it's nice to get a shot of something different!  Most fields here have been combined, but still a few bean fields ready to be done.  There's also a fair bit of maize and then there's all those fields of willow down your way which I had heard are nearing cutting, probably next year.

Great issue - plenty of in depth articles.  Really looking forward to this UH MF1200!

A rather dull, windy day here in Scotland.  I headed out into Stirlingshire and chanced upon a MF 26 combining a field of beans at Arnprior.  Hellish light today but mananged to get a few shots.  A red 'un makes a change from the greens!

Nice to meet up with you today Bill.  To be honest, I must say I was a little disappointed all-in-all and only stayed for only about an hour and a half.  Nothing much new with many of the same machines year after year.  The indoor tractor display is absolutely hopeless, not least for getting photographs.  I remember the first year I went (2007) and it was that busy that overspill parking was in a rough field down the road - nothing like that last year or this.  Think this show really needs a revamp.
