great idea! just tryed it on an old britains hurlimen! i convert and scratch build models all the time but this is very simple and makes the tractor look much more chunky!!!!!!!!!!

as a child i had a whole empty room for my models (small collection) 

then it all got packed away.......

and now its on my bedroom floor EVERYWERE theres even a path for people too walk through so they dont damage my models..

but i really want a loft convo 

grrrrrrrrr i never wanna see one of them again, whent to my local carboot on sunday. i saw one!! asked for a price, ?2.00!!!!! i said ?1.00 he said no. and i cant get over it i hesitated, and said ill get it in a min when we go back round. whent back, GONE  :'(!!

they can sometimes go in any order depending on what youre cultin, toothed discs first is good for hard ground. and genaral discs are good for softer. as for the tines, the ones on the britains ones are quite good. they will rip deep. good for maize an tatties 

overall the britains simba is in a good order and type because its good on hard and soft grounds, althought now and then it can make a slightly more messy job on soft  :D

for those who dont know northrop were a tractor conversion company, they started in the 1965. and after seeing other conversion companies rise such as bray, roadless, and matbro. they aimed to give the customer a reliable 4wd powerhouse!

the first tractor being produced in 1964 simply by converting a normal 2wd tractor into 4wd.

if anyone wants to know more feel free to ask me, i have a large amount of information on them.

and if i remember rightly novembers classic tractor has an article on a 5004 being restored.

the ultimate would have to be an old siku tractor, solid diecast no detail!

mine consists of....

6 pigs

100 bulls

small herd of dairy cows

calfs (6)

30 sheep

three grass fields for silage

two maize

two corn

three potato

and two small grazing fields.

weve always harvested our own corn, and silage. but we get a contractor in (next door TCFC) to do the maize and tatties.

thats a good conversion you have there! the only thing i dont like is the fact its a ford i want, and its been butcherd up ha ha!. joke!

here is my stack carrier, made to fit britains older linkage. it is scratch built (apart from the linkage part) from plastic, the paint job is bad as i was rushing.

this topic is for the very old one ha ha!!

but i know ehat you mean, im on my second. the frames just crack and break!

i also have mixed opinions, its a good leading tractor. but its VERY basic, but i like the look. and its not the greatest implamatic tractor neither, if you can get it cheap like i did. its worth it for the hell of it!

very nice, when we go to america (family has house there) we go to leesburg, but anyway. when we go to a place called oldtown in florida theres a shop with items looking like there from the past, my dad bought a miniature pedal car very simailar to that pickup. but it was a police car..........
