    MF 7580

Do old habits die? Not a lot happens with the range of Britains toys over a short period of time. They do not release vast amounts of models, true the company has changed hands and is under new management. I just want to see a name that I grew up with produce a worthwhile product. T

Well they made a great job of the Ford 5000/7000 bought one, but I'm not going to rush out and by another. Is that why there are loads of green toy tractors around because Massey Ferguson/AGCO are picky? I like the UH 8690. Criticism is a good it helps you to improve which only surely a good thing with any company/ manufacture. Professional people should be self critical, and university teaches you be.Companies expect you to be cable of self evaluating. I have recently joined and thought this was a place where the little people have a chance to air there views hassle free, but I was wrong. Why would you expect a toy tractor manufacture to get things correct when their full size counterparts can't?... seems to me a lot of folk are in the wrong jobs..

The cost of producing a new model is high so adaption are made for examples, Britains MF3650,Ford 5610.( that I mention) The pictured I referred to was the one of the real tractor(?) in their catalogue . Like the rest of you I have not seen a picture of the Britains toy ?. I know that Britain's do like to modify old models and sell them off as new ones. I'm taking a guess here that it is based on a 6290, to me a simple job change the bonnet hey presto new toy tractor.
  8. Siku use metal hitches. Well the RC2 staff must have have shades on and wear earplugs. Come RC2 be dynamic. I did say I like Britains products.

Only the picture from Britains catalogue on here, remember the MF 3650 and Ford 5610, 5610 my botty... It is a wonder the MF6180 did not get turn into something else, I forget- it did the 6290( joke).
  10. The last proper Britains tractor must have been the Fordson major.A sturdy mostly metal toy with steering and a working lift that actually looked a bit like the real thing. The E27N was a good toy in my opinion too, but sadly nothing has come close since,WHY? I like to think I collect toy tractors,i.e. ones with steering and a working lift that looks similar to a real working tractor. The Britain's lift was not perfect, but it worked.(old type not the crappy plastic joke they use today) Why can we not have a metal cab, bonnet, wheel centres that do not vanish over time and a proper hitch? How long do Britains models last as toys in a child's hands? Er.. not long. Question what do we want to buy - toy tractors or models? I do like Britains farm models in general but wish they would be a little bit better than what they are. RC2 to me, do not seem to have the finances or the inclination to produce better or more models, sorry toys. U.H , though they produce models beat Britains hands down!
  11. Looks like a typical Britians half a job "make over". A MF 6290 with a new bonnet. Britains what is a 7465, shame on you RC2...(or should I say-I.C.D- I See a lot of Dissapointment.
