Massey Ferguson 2620
MJB1 replied to Powerstarâ„¢'s topic in Latest Tractor Conversions & Scratch Builds
have talked to a relative who ,like marky spent his working life with massey, but more tractors than combines , the 2620 was indeed more popular than the 4wd but he doesn't really know why, more comonly found in the south west , where smaller ammounts of groundwork were involved , as the bigger HP was usually found over markys area for the big growers . not a great seller here but did sell very well on the continent looks well luke , got to get that decal sorted , got the number against the windscreen ,& not at the end of the bonnet -
if any of us brits did anything like this we'd all accuse each other of having too much time on our hands , Anders your time seems well spent , the sets & the models really recreate the working environment we all want to be a part of in 1/32 & 1/16 land , well done , look forward to seeing more :) why are us brits so against the WTD \

well what do you reckon nigel ? wheels from ? whatever they're from they look damn good never seen one with solid centers before , so the UH deutz wheels would look fantastic on them , i got to find me 3 of them tractors , i can then have a set !

some tractors from where i worked in harvest in Bedfordshire.
MJB1 replied to The Deere Hunter's topic in Tractors
very nice kit , makes a big difference working in a clean tidy tractor , makes you want to keep it that way :) went to a farm today & they had a fair few newish NH tractors , all in an awfull state, seems like the drivers have got no pride in what they do -
as like the rest of them a midmounted trimmer or ditcher would be my guess , they lot on the continent utilise their tractors so much more than we do
-
nigels gonna love that :) as do i

maybe it wasn't a y plate \

i bloody well hope not ba$t**d sh&*t hole of a place & should only be a 6 wheeler only took me an hour to blow 4 tons ! too far away from the bin & too many pipes & was a barsteward to turn in 40 series
-
saw a cracker for mart the other day but as per usual ........................no camera tucked away in the shed next to the bin was a ford based moffet on a Y plate , not bad nick either considering the state of the farm , a ford 3000 never to run again & a bonhill SP forager that hadn't seen any action for a fair few years
-
don't really know the big seller in the reading area , deere's or Nh i expect , always used to be to be massey in the south west & ford over jd mads way
