  1. rode round many acres on one of those , usually with a bagger on it & a trailer at each end of the field .still see a fair few makeing friends with the brambles & hedgerows
  2. certainly badge engineered , have seen similar machines at the royal , but not in MF livery, probably sold well in euroland
  3. think the massey name was only really ascossiated with agriculture & industrial applications marky , so unless you were into the horticultural side of things maybe this wouldn't be noticed good though isn't it , wonder where the biggest market for these was ? & how many have survived working or not ?
  4. so if the willow is harvested as a renewable power source, whats happening with all the elephant grass being grown around here ?
  5. well thats marky lost to us for another year, well at least it'll keep the little tacker quiet for 5 mins :D that look fantastic, what scale is it ?

  12. the 420 replaced a 4wd MF 250 which shares a loader with the ford 4610T & is now on loading duties between 2 other farms, so far no problems with it
  13. like i say , surprising what you find in some sheds
  14. nice massey 6290 for ben & sean & a special pic for marky
  15. real beastie of a ford 6600 for mart here , ten yrs ago the farmer rolled it , but wanted to keep her so he just ripped what was left of the bubble cab off !
  16. yes mart , a fix with some easystart& she sits there runing the slurry pump all day ! the best thing about my job is finding all the things other people don't see around the farm ! this 35 is petrol TVO, farmer said that when the last mix was finished up approx 15 years ago it was parked in the shed & thats where it's been ever since \
  17. trying to catch up on a few posts here & find this little gem well done will that looks really good mate , thought about chain harrows earlier in the year ,but wasn't sure how or where to start ! looks good :) :) :)
  18. that looks superb john :) :) going to have to lose the backdrop & get a field done for yerself if yer going to make them look that realistic !
  19. biggest problem with these gearboxes mart is that when they got jumpy they needed re-calabrating , the biggest problem with them was farmers never got them done till it was going to cost big money know 2-3 lads with older white cabbed tractors & have never had major problems with them, but these are kept up together , i do know of some abused ones & cause trouble , more to do with the drivers than the tractors i suspect mate if you're still looking at the 40 series , look for the 8240/8340

    Ford 7600 E

the only difference between the 7600 & 7600E tractors as far as i can remember is that the 7600 E wasn't fitted with a load monitor for the hydraulics my ex-boss had one , i used it for hauling silage & feed wagon duties , was replaced with a 7740 must have a pic of it somewhere
  21. thanks alan , had to put the other boxes about as looked quite odd without them \
  22. blimey marky thats a find & a half , see what you mean about the badges the first pic has the normal triangles & the second has the industrial version , do you collect the little white complete product books at all ?
