nothing new , most of the US spec stuff is either imported specialy or older classics for collectors , although some bits are used for working
  2. yeah a bottle of bud with a teat on :D
  3. been there done that twice
  4. the next buckrake for deer-est will be a bit more refined thanks luke but i didn't make the trailer ,but i think siku did a pretty good job, what do you think of the extensions ?
  5. where do you find all this stuff to ?
  6. don't see why we both don't go down as he's only in wellington / tiverton area
  7. i wasn't planning on milking any cows ,just to rear on heifers \ that layout looks very posh SC & those tanks look really good as they are
  8. i took some pics of the britains parlour in one of my sheds & it's not too far off , bearing in mind it's a four stall set , have also put some measurments down as well

i dare say ricky the door is from a 40 series tractor as for the lights on the ford tris ,being nz it was probably built for the north american market where the lighting regs are different , thats why the headlights on the older big deeres were built into the rear fenders , many of the rear windows on n/american fords were a sliding design & not a the split folding rear window that is comon to us here

phill ,you'll get plenty of silage action at lackham , got a fair few big contractors round that way , tris could probably tell you who they are though . SPN's right when he says it's frantic , apart from break downs or punctures it's flat out all day. it's not too bad for a farm operation ,but if yer on a contecting team the level of concentration needded week after week does tire you out, but if you got a good crew & cb's then it can also be a lot of fun, even when yer knackered

FP some of the farms round here are quite small so the first cut is taken very early . A chap called david heywood 2 miles away will soon have his first 60 acres of first cut done ,then a contractor comes in to plough as soon as the forager leaves the field so he can get his maize in . the second cut comes from the smaller fields which is baled
  12. mark, will you be using the britains stall or scratch building a new parlour ? if you've not got a britains one , i can meet you at taunton so you can borrow mine for a fitting so to speak as for the finish to the yard floor use the rough side of a peice of hardboard as it's already got the rough pattern on it & it looks like it's been grooved ,just paint it concrete grey.
  13. it's a bit overkill just to run a conveyor ?
  14. i used to drive a GTA 4wd as the boss wanted to fit a bigger sprayer he never really got the hang of it though ,as he'd always use the front tank first & spend the rest of the afternoon with the front axle 12 off the ground & the rear sprayer burried in the field :D got a few strange looks on carnival night though
  15. the xylon was specificalyy designed as a systems tractor , the engine sizes were 4cyl turbo from 100hp -150, this enabled a load area at each end of the tractor for hoppers or tanks , if the load areas were not used it gave a good all round visability tey were also fitted with 40k boxes
  16. doesn't look man enough for a bed former mart , maybe a cambridge roller would suit ?
  17. busy as usual david , as always a good set up ,hope to see it out again soon
  18. this really depends on how much work you want to put into them cj. apart from the britains plastic atcost sheds i use mdf ,as it's easy to use ,then paste patterned paper to finish the effect ,others like smurf, smallclass & tm810 are very good at scratch building with the plastistruct & other materials ,which does take time & patience , deer-est even does impact tests on them by dropping them on the floor, as of yet he's not got one to pass yet :D
