  2. thats a smart convo nath :) that'll take some pulling at a reasonable depth , my 2000gal tanker & 5 leg flat lift took some pulling at 24 inches deep, still not convinced about the top-tilth but i'm slowly comming round \
  3. those 8630 arnt bad for detail but it's a shame the linkage lets it down nice convo though ,adding the steering makes it look very good

    yes it's an ECON fert spreader , but i don't know what model it is ,Stans not so much a conversionist ,more a revivalist, as most of his stuff would have been scrapped by most long ago ,but he nurses them back to working order again , doesn't look much but they're worked hard & well serviced & seen as disposeable if anything major goes wrong His yard has alot of kit standing around waiting for breaking or spares for repairs but it's paid for, unlike new stuff waiting for a few months of use & costing a fortune :) one farmer who like to see his money belong to himself ,not the bank
  6. believe me sean if i ever get two the same colour ,you'll be the first to know about it ,when you open them in the post i cut up two siku combi drills last night to make a 4mtr version but seem to have lost the plot & have lots of bits , but these cultivators from bennyv & nath are within my skills ..........................i would think \

    my old neighbour had a blown engine on his MB TRAC ,but dropped in an engine from a scrap claas senator that he bought for ?150 .It now churns out over 200hp
  8. if i ever get another cultivator i'll certainly give it a go nath, that certainly hits the spot for me i would assume it's fairly heavy though ?

    cricket malherbie is the same , springs in every field, even in the driest of summers i'd have \ mud splattered over the tractor

  12. pipe huydraulics to where on a subaru ? the powersteering ? you'd need a hellish reservoir to tip that thing :D i can do it but it ain't gonna look pretty

  17. here's the spring cultivations & drilling at winterhay farms the farm is approx 2000 acres , of varying acreage for wheat,barley, potatoes & sugarbeet,set-aside & woodland, the land ranges from greyclay > stoney brash > grade A soil. not used all my tractors as can't afford the labour :D the Masseys are flavour of the month so these are what i used : 2640 2wd+sprayer , 6290+fertspreader , 3680 +drill , 8280+centaur6000 , 8280 +plough ,595+loader & 4260 +loader.
