Can you confirm or deny the Valtra 8550 then Atte?

Interesting site, thanks for the link

Well done Steve on your purchase of a decent model/ It is of course in 1/35 scale, though why it says otherwise on the box is a mystery. I'm guessing your one is red, if so it is the same as one of the first models I bought when I began collecting. I would say it is out of production for quite a while now, though I am not sure exactly when. It is one of the more common versions of that casting out there so I would say you paid a fair price for it, considering the retailer has been minding it all this time for you!
Finally be careful when removing the duals as the clips can break off.

Britains joining the club with funny coloured tractors
Like putting lipstick on a pig.....
Polishing a turd....
etc.
Britains were doing this before anyone else ;)
-
Looks nice. I'm guessing 6850 cab and Britains bonnet on T Series chassis?
-
Does anyone have any information on when and where the gold Valtra A850 will be available? It says in the UH catalogue that it will be limited to 2500 pieces, so I assume it will be pretty widely available??
-
I've been thinking about this lately Ricky and I think the best way to take the current from one of the power sockets that you find on the newer tractors and have a seperate wire to plug in when you hitch up. You could use a relay from the parking lights on the drill to operate the spotlights so you wouldn't need a seperate switch. I think wiring spots off the 7-pin plug would be asking for trouble.

Is this available to download anwhere yet??

yeah found it,
I like the shed, farm in the backround also looks impressive
Thanks . It is a good mag, I like the articles he does in Profi too.
-
Oh cool,
what were your ideas
Well since you get every issue you can look them up yourself . There were 8 pages of stuff, the first page was titled 'Continuous Expansion Works for Co. Wexford Farmer'.
-
Yes I get it, our farm was even featured in the last issue!
-
All the UH Valtras/Valmets, but particularly the N series models.
-
That doesn't look too bad Gav, I'm sure I've ploughed in worse. Is it the slatted boards that make it difficult?
-
This pleases me immensely. Another tractor from my favourite era soon to be reproduced. Looking forward to seeing photographs of the model.
+1 here!! Made my week that!

Now the proud owner of a Britains Valmet 8950 in Claas colours :)
Got there in the last 2 seconds there i see ;)

A strip heater is the real deal for this if you can justify one, just put 'plastic strip heater' into Google and have a browse around.

Try getting this book and having a read of it: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Soldering-Brazing-Workshop-Practice-Tubal/dp/0852428456/ref=sr_1_3?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1295016272&sr=1-3
It is aimed more at the model engineer/ scale steam enthusiast but gives a very good explanation of different aspects of soldering and brazing.

I'm all for people voicing their opinions on here and having a discussion, but it certainly gives the term 'colour wars' a whole new meaning.
Perhaps the mods could split this debate if it is going to continue, I tend to look at this topic to see what is coming out rather than listen to peoples opinions on UH model policy.

i wasnt standing on her foot at the time .... at least i dont think i was
well what else do you buy a DB lover other than a DB ?
Treatment of some kind?? ;D
-
Ooooh nice! That version is hard to find due to it only being produced for one year. I imagine the cleaning will process will be a very long drawn out affair
-
that did not take much ;D
What can I say, I'm an addict!
-
Some nice stuff there Derrick, how many models do you have altogether? I see a Sisu Valmet 8750 in the background, does it have the early red stripe on the mudguards or the later brown?
