  1. First up, three pics of refurbed export 290's. Last of the three is an original just arrived at the yard. Quite a nice one so I hope it survives the oxy-acyteline!!
  2. Love the 2000 series, she is loverrrrly!!! The 178 is nice too, bit different. Yeah, good stuff there, who do I speak to for an order form?!!!
  3. Here 'tis. A Farmhand loader on a rough but 'as used this haymaking season' MF 165.
  4. Little Britain.....? Or in this case, LITTLE BRITAINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wohooooooo!!!! :D :D
  5. Wouldnt disagree with that. They're a hard working family and have won prizes for ingnuity and diversification in NFU, local press, FW and the like. Fair play to them etc etc but from a sentimental point of view if a company can get through 300 tractors a year, mainly MF with the body of them going overseas it does make life hard for the true fan and collector. All the parts used to refurbish these tractors are Turkish by the way.
  6. I wanna go to Florida!!! Farmer I hope that was sarcasm, it looks like a beaut. A beaut I tell ya!!
  7. Tell ya what, the 2000's they have in the yard now are in pretty good nick. The thing with the 500 and 2000 is the doors. After a few years they refuse to shut unless you have them open on haymaking and your hand on the fender. Then they shut perfect. . with your fingers providing a secure and firm seal!! Have to say, a god 2680 or 2745 still looks formidable now. The cabs we binned today were an example of a typical 500 cab. Most of the doors had rotted out along the tops, as on the back windows. The lower rear windows were siezed, although we saved three in pretty good condition. Apparantly they are hard to come by. The corners of the side windows were shot. Still, waste not want not. I'm sure with the gubbins (word of the day??!!) we kept, a few more 590's will survive. Or 290's if the Howards keep up the trend!!
  8. I WANT THAT ONE!!!! (in a simpleton Mancunian accent with a Lou stylee).
  9. snfvntnetr I mean is socmrmign,........ oh heeeell. .. . . .. . IS THAT YOUR TJ?!!!!!!! ? :) :)
  10. The youngest son does ebay for all that kind of stuff That said I'm sure the odd badge here and there wouldnt hurt, that said I'm sure the odd panel here and there wouldnt hurt. THAT said I'm sure the odd tractor here and there wouldnt hurt!!!! Requests please!!! Got a nice 1996 Bomford hedgetrimmer at the moment with an equally nice 690 in the spray shop MJB1. .. .. . .... They get down Cornwall a fair bit on straw in the summer aswell as to farm sales anywhen elst mjB1, white ERF EC11 (I think) with Cormach crane coupled to an MF red Dennison tri-axle plant trailer. Unit is stickered up but difficult to read untill it's pretty close. The load usually gives it away though.
  11. C M Howard and Sons know'em? Today we loaded up their artic with 12 590 cabs, after stripping them of any last minute requisitions. ie, window pane's, spool blocks, door frames etc. Most of the 290's started life as a 590. Off to some African country I think.
  12. If I remember I will take my camera over my mates yard tomorrow, they buy and export MF's specialsing in 135/165/200/300/500 and 600 series Masseys and a fair few 2000 series. Anything else goes but these are the bread and butter. At the moment they have 18 290's ready to go, cabs off, new wellies, paint, rebuild etc. One is a 4wd and that is a very pretty little thing. Aswell as numerous other models. Who wants a Ford 3600? They havnt got one but its the sort of thing that they'd get in a sale or something. It's a yard full of prizes and surprises. Will post something Thursday I expect.
  13. 230hp isnt it? Our college had an 8870 with a huge set of Parmiter discs to play with when I was there. Being Salisbury base Parmiter gave the pre-production discs to the Army and said "break them" a silly thing to say to an Army I would have thought. But they took it seriously, no AS90's, no Challenger II's, no MLRS, instead. .. A 3185 Fastrac and some of the hardest chalk tank tracks in the country amid Salisbury Plain. Did they break'em? No, so who are the next most destructable people on earth? STUDENTS!!! Add an 8870, 28 Farm Mec students and a light as hell Cotswold Brash field.? .. did we break'em?? NO!!! Obviously a pretty good set of discs.
  14. Eurodeere you and I could cover some serious acres son!!!!!
  15. Had a play around with a Same Antares on a neighbours farm with an irragation head, my 7840 was pumping. Good engine, didnt seem to bad a tractor in all fairness. He had had trouble with the dealer though.
  16. Good job, I new ordering some plane sheet would help somewhere along. Have a small list for EMA to see to when I get a chance to phone it through. Will have a tinker around again soon and let you know how I get on with the cab mounting. I'll have a bonnet off you if possible, no rush or owt. Just when you got time to TM. Cheers!
  17. It's a little basic, transport wheels are lacking a bit but the main thing is, ITS BIG!!! And a bit of a looker on the back of my NH 9880. Pic in My Model Farms I think.
  18. TM if you are after a 390T bonnet for your conversion can you gimme a buzz when your sorted? I'm after the same thing. Would really like a nice 390T for bobbing around in. Have a 6180 but the floor pan of the 362 is a little tight over the back wheels. what ideas have you got, if you don't mind sharing them?
  19. Well I'll be pi55ed off. The CDrom which came with my Scaloox wont play on my laptop. Not the disc's fault, I think the drive is buggered as I have had trouble with music cd's before. Is it possible to send the file and if it is would any of you be spot-on-kind-enough-in-return-for-a-cyber-pint-helpful-enough-can-I-have-a-rewind-type-way to send it to me?? In that condition, yeah!! (Mark and Lard live on!!!)
  20. I am now listed aswll. You can't miss me, like I thought I couldnt mis that great big plastic oil catcher . . . .... Lot of oil in a Cat engine mind!! \
