The weights are the wrong shape and size for the 2000 series tractors even Britains got this nearly right back in the early 80's sorry for the moan!

  17. This is what in the catalogue as follows: Details: c.1970s MASSEY FERGUSON 165 4cylinder diesel TRACTOR This well restored example once belonged to WW2 flying ace Flight Lieutenant Neil Cox DFC. The tractor was donated by Mr Coxs family and was recently stripped down, overhauled and then rebuilt using genuine AGCO parts, by students at Wiltshire College Lackham studying The Extended Diploma in Land-Based Technology. The project was the latest in a series of amazing 24 hour rebuilds undertaken by the college. This fine classic had previously spent its working life on Mr Coxs farm at Henley-on-Thames. The proceeds of the sale and the buyers premium will be donated to the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund. The successful bidder will recieve a disc containing 300 images and video of the challenge. A short version of the rebuild can be seen at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-O6zje9UE. There will also be copies of radio interviews undertaken by staff and students publicising the challenge. A copy of the Obituary of Lieutenant Cox that featured in last years Daily Telegraph is also available. The tractor has also recently returned from France having been on show at the Massey Ferguson VISION event where it received great reviews.
  18. Hi Sean, when i get time i'll share some more of the shed's gems mostly IH,MF,Fordson, with a Steiger,Cat, Nuffield and one green and yellow one thrown in for good measure! o and me DB 950 got soft spot again for these red DB's but i'll tell more about them another day. As for the Case IH 1056xl low hours we had a tractor for every job so the hours were split between other CaseIH, Renault, and JCB Fastrac. Theres not to many western MF1130's here and as the dollars still strong not that many coming over just love the raw engine note of the turbo perkins 6.354 when first got it had straight threw pipe and it would scare small children and animals love it! Hope this answer the questions. Thanks again Martyn.
  19. Just got back from cheffins preview of the sale tomorrow, Got some pic's before it p**s down hope you like them. Would love the Big Bud 650/50 and that Ford 9700 would also look good in the shed!. Not a lot of room between the tyre and mudguard on the MF 165!. Got a bit of a soft spot for the Renault Nectra as we had diffrent Renaults in my past life on the farm.and lastly the Land Rover series 1 that was made for sir Winston Churchills 80th birthday this ones closely guarded as they have given it a pre auction estimate of £40.000 to £60.000 and there is talk of it starting at £60K with bidders from a round the world for it could make over £100K. Martyn
  20. Many thanks to you all for the fantastic comments thanks again Martyn.
