As I parked up at Nunnington Hall (nr Kirbymoorside) late this morning I heard a roar and went back to the road and a "Tractor Run" had pulled into a layby...4 grey Fergies (one with bonnet up) a pristine MF35 and one less so, a MF165 and JD 1130....and my camera went on the blink !!!

There's some nice stuff out there !
I haven't seen the potato planting teams for a couple of days but theres some spraying going on (an MF6455 and a couple of self-propelled jobbies) also a team picking carrots with a classic JD and new Case MX. Trouble is, they are close to work and I have been in a rush either way !

thats a good start Lee !

It looks like your weather is the same as ours - generally GRIM
but hey ho, it is Winter !
-
it's blowing a Hooley in East Yorks tonight
(already lost one more fence panel !)

Despite the naff weather, care for stock still goes on. the only things I've seen all holiday were a large Case leading a trailer full of muck to a heap at Bishop Burton Coollege and a JD 6610 & triffit trailer doing the same at Shiptonthorpe

Great idea Tris ! looking forward to it.
I had a similar thought today while brain dead (with the missus shopping) to resurrect my "small secret collection" and make a snow scene
-
It was -4 in glorious sunshine when I scived off from work and went for a run - so no camera to catch a Case 5140 and Howard rotary spreader working in a foot of snow !
-
A glorious Friday morning in Angelsey when I left to come home but absolutely awful from Saddleworth Moor right over to East Yorkshire...however, Thursday was fantatsic - as you may see if you look at my post about to be complied in another section !

there are a few classics round here I've photgraphed before, but was late home from work so didn't have chance to stop for a MF135 with ancient "over the top" style hedge trimmer

My last regular journey home from Holyhead was Thursday evening - nothing seen until it was dark near the end of the M62/A63 when harvesting was in full swing to try and beat the advancing Thunderstorms - tried to 'graph a NH CX series + T6020 & trailer but it was far too dark for the others.
It was drying out today but with the family in the back, no chance to stop for a Class harvesting near Driffield, and a big NH plus JD harvesting nearer Beverley.

On a trip round holderness area on Sunday, things were really busy - JD82xx with front cultivator+ rear disc/roller train, several classic and new Fords and cse quadtrack ploughing/cultivating, NH and JD combines...all with the fmily in the back complaining if I was tempted to stop and get the camera out !
Today was really hit & miss. Brough-beverley after work there was only a well-photographed TX34 combining, then later out for a run south of Beverley a really photogenic Ford7810 with vicon baler....just packing up for the evening, then a MF combine & large MF tractor well in the distance. Just shows, I can't win !

A TM150 and spreader to the south of Beverley leaving a trail of mud and s**t on a road while I was out running (and trying to avoid it !)
Missed a brillaint photo opportunity the day before with a Cat Challenger and Valderstadt drilling near Etton - but my Missus was in a hurry !

took my 82 year old grandad to see his wife/my gran in hospital, roads fine when we set off got there, 1 hr later 5" snow and a 35min drive back home took me 5hrs all i can say is women drivers need lesson in how to drive in snow, 80% of them were causing the hold ups, the traffic was hell and lorrys were jack knifing every few mins according to the local radio. local council have decided to use less salt/grit to solve the shortage, what a laugh its like cutting back on food to save starvation!
You have my sympathies ! Traffic wasn't moving at all round our side until really late, so can't blame women or anyone in particular !
-
A kind gentleman with an 08-reg'd MF7495 at the top of the slip road to the A63 at the Humber bridge, pulling cars up stuck on the snow & ice !

What tractors did you see today without getting photos
in Farm Talk
Posted
various sprayers and large Tractor & trailers in the distance while out with the missus today
But especially miffed to have missed 2 chances to stop and photgraph a couple of MF265 ? tractors working with very ancient 2-row potato planters just outside Stokesly (on the road to Helmesly) today
