  1. I agree Niels, but also on my 8330 there is no reason why the track should be any wider, they've actually added spacers and a longer axle, if they didn't bother with the spacers and had a slightly shorter axle there wouldn't be a problem, so i don't see why they went to the extra hassle?
  2. Oh fair enough, i didn't realize you could convert them into T cabs as well... I can't afford to buy one letalone buy one to take apart!
  3. Just had a look at Frank Hudson, look like nice trucks, shame siku don't do a T cab so you could do that one of his, would look the bees knees!
  4. Some videos. First up, me cruisin' in the 6820 (testing out my new camera suction mount). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3Uwx6nRWW0 Then a walkaround the T7050 and Ken Wootton trailer that i was also using. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0mdGQfKd6g&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL And finally, in the T7050 following the combine in the dark. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pu52uyT1MwI&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL
  5. Last 2, just need to get the videos uploaded to youtube now.
  6. Well i recieved a phone call yesterday morning to say they were getting a bit behind and needed a hand to finish harvest and to get on with some cultivations, and since most of their land you can get to without touching public roads, i was up for the job. it's a family run 590 acre arable farm compiling of OSR, peas, wheat, linseed, sugar beet and potatoes so a nice variety. They also rent some land to put potatoes on. Tractors are: JD 6800 JD 6820 JD 6920s New Holland T7050 Auto Command So yesterday we were grain carting with the 6820 and T7050 from the New Holland TX66 (20' cut), and although i'm a big John Deere man, the pulling power on the T7050 is colossal! First up some pictures, videos to follow later when i get them on youtube.
  7. yeah had some about an hour ago, haven't been going today because it's been overcast and there's been no wind all day so the moisture hasn't dropped.
  8. I think Britains might just have the edge over siku with that New Holland, but NO britains, don't you dare put that wide rear wheel track on that 7R!
  9. There's already a topic on this sort of subject, it's in farm toys general talk under the name John Deere new range.
  10. Been hauling grain till half 1 this morning, had the JD 6820 and New Holland T7050 auto command carting from a New Holland TX66 20' cut, loved every moment!
  11. I agree bluegreen, but another thing i would like is a smaller combine, like a T550 or something, about a 20 foot header on the front, nice little details and features on it and i reckon it would be a big seller. I've even considered modifying a siku T670i to make it a T550 like a farm up the road has, but it would be a fair bit of work involved so i'm putting it off for now and hoping siku or britains will do a smaller one that i can just modify slightly.
  12. There was a fleet of Fendt 820's hauling grain past my house at about 1am this morning, could hear the combine going over the other side of the village as well if i opened my window.
  13. Or just like my page on Facebook... http://www.facebook.com/pages/Running-over-chavs-with-a-tractor/171529989556958?ref=ts
  14. And a video from today, watch in HD for best quality http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQ0hJo4uQ-I
  15. Been a fair few people out combining today. Unfortunately most of them were just clouds of dust, i couldn't get to them, these are some of the downsides of being on a bike, not to mention the pressure the wind puts on you First up, a brand new John Deere T550 which the driver kindly let me have a ride on. I also found a New Holland TX 34 working away in some wheat, but the driver looked a pretty scary bloke so i thought i'd best leave them to it
  16. Just had a ride on a brand new John Deere T550, pictures will be on my harvest album later.
  17. that was an option on the W650 and W660, standard it was 9000l with the option for a 10000l, then on the T550 it is 8000l standard with the option for 10000l, then on the T560 it is 10000l and doesn't have an option for any bigger, then on the T660 and T670 it is 9000l with a 11000l option.
  18. I've heard about the 7R and then there's the 8360R which is already out that is 2011 spec. I agree Joe, the T670i would look the bees knees with the new cab, and i prefer the T series tank top, i think if anyone should do the W series it should be britains as they already have the correct tank top, well, nearly the correct one, just a shame they put it on completely the wrong series! And besides they already have the S690i it would just need a fair bit of tweaking, like a new tank extension, which i hope they take note from siku and make it an opening/closing one, and then i'm sure they could just tweak the tracks off the quadtrac.
  19. I've seen today John Deere have now updated their website to show the new range or tractors/combines, now it's inevitable that there are going to be new John Deere tractor models i would have though next year? But i'm just wondering if there's any talk of Britains/Siku updating their combines, since at the end of the day it would just be a cab update? well except britains with the S690i, which would be rather nice if they put tracks on it So has anybody heard any news about any new John Deere models?
  20. Thinking i had got lucky because my school report hadn't arrived. Well guess what dropped onto the mat this morning.
  21. John Deere 9?30 with duals all round. The most annoying thing was, i had my camera on me, i just couldn't get to it! My mate was combining in the field next to him so i rang him and asked if there was a gateway in the field he was in, he said no there was a big drain in the way, i won't repeat the words that came out of my mouth, but they rhyme with Duck Lake.
