I rember looking at that site last year and thinking that they looked quite good. Like Light Land said, it sounds like your the easiest way to make decalsI buy all my paper from:
http://www.craftycomputerpaper.co.uk/default.aspx
You may have to ask them about clear vinyl, though, as I couldn't find it on their website. If you're stuck let me know and I can always get some in for you

Have done a few myself. I found them quite easy to use but I soon learnt how they fold over and stick to themselves!Waterslide can be tricky, but if your familiar with Airfix & Revell kits ,it should be second nature to ya!

Yeah I think that sounds like a smart idea! Was just looking at the paper for the odd small jobGet mandy to make your decals mate, she's top rate to deal with and they are cheap as chips.

Thanks everyone, that all very helpful. Where can you get clear vinyl or dry rub-off decal paper?

Hi, has anyone tried water slide decal paper where you print your decals at home with an ink jet printer? Do they work well as I am looking at getting some? Thanks for your help

Those photos look so amazing! Just like the real thing! The different colours sounds like a good idea, the light coloured ones look just perfect for fresh hay

I like that A LOT!!!!! Top work!

Awesome topic Ol. Love seeing pics of NZ dairy farms as I'm only on a sheep & beef.

That looks really nice what you've done!

Thanks mate!

Wow thats an amazing shed and farm you've got there! So much detail and I like your door and the controls around it.
What did you use for the plastic wrap around your pallet of sacks? Hope we get to see more pics of your farm

Those look fantastic now! Might have to get some myself.

Thought that might be the case. The Norev is a lovely looking piece of kit, very detailed but I picked one up at Spalding and you can just tell it is fragile

Thanks for that. Good to hear that about the siku models as those are the ones I am looking into.Ive got the Siku Massey 7278 and the Claas Lexion 600. They are both strong playable models but both feature good detail, removable headers with trailers. The Masseys header is 20ft and the Claas's is 30ft, i would recommend both models.
Hope this helps.
I chose the Siku Lexion and John Deere, chiefly because they could be displayed in or out of use (opening grain tanks), have header trailers, and opening panels so they could also be part of a workshop scene. Thats not to say the others aren't good models, they are, in fact they are better detail wise - but for sheer versatility you can't beat the Siku models. Of course there are 2 new Siku combines coming out as well, so a bit more choice.
The Britains CX880 is rather nice, with a little tweaking as well
Cheers mate. I hadn't thought of that, but it would be handy to be able to "be displayed in or out of use (opening grain tanks), have header trailers, and opening panels" .
Siku MF 7278 like Masset boy says isa good model.
Yeah, I've always liked the look of it (ever since I was about 5 years old infact! ) Quite a good size for us in NZ as the header isn't too wide.
what do people think of the Norev Claas Dominator? I like the look of it but I've heard its quite fragile.

Cheers, I think a something that is a bit stronger will better suited to my farm. What sort of harvesters does Schuco make?Depends if you want a lot of detail mate. Anything UH, Schuco will have a lot of detail and will look great on display on in dioramas. However if it will get a lot of attention (i.e played with) you are better off with a Britains or Siku as they are more robust but with a lot less detail. Personally I went for a Class Matador and Fendt combine both from UH.

They are usually 1/24 scale

Hi, I'm looking at buying a combine harvester. I do a bit of carpet farming but still want a model that has got a bit of detail.
Which one do you think I should get? Any info, advice or feedback on any of these models?
Or is there another model harvester that would be good? Cheers Sam

Where about was that model show? I've got about 150 photos from the Taupo model truck show that I'll have to sort through some time

You've got some awesome pics on this topic Olly!

I was looking at getting some bales from you and putting some of your material on the fields to form the rows of un-baled hay.
