  1. any more photo's of these models out of the boxes PPPPPlease :'(
  2. please forgive me if you have covered this subject elsewhere but how did you achieve the weathered look? stunning model yet again though
  3. just finished looking through this entire thread. What an amazing layout, watching it grow from the first postings to what it has become. Your attention to detail is a credit to you. I have loved seeing new additions to the layout particularly some of the new products from hollylovestoys. Keep posting new updates please :) :) :)
  4. stunning model, you must be a perfectionist if you think the paint work is a bit dodgy!!! loving the weathered telehandler in the background also b.t.w.
  5. quite simply stunning!!!!!! Just love what you've done with what looks like a relatively small amount of space. I dont have any room for a lay out so was really impressed with the smaller dio's taking a leaf out of the boarder fine arts maybe? Can't wait to see more of what you do keep us posted ;D ;D
  6. Welcome to the forum hope you enjoy it!!!
  7. My apologies I have obviously been misinformed by my sources, very sorry. My relative who does a lot of DVD filming on machinery said that they were German based on one of his DVDs so I guess he had been misinformed also but thanks for setting the record straight & I will have a look at their web site as I find their set up fascinating Regards PR
  8. Another really fantastic model keep 'em coming!!!!!! In reply to your question (Obviously I can't speak for the rest of the country but with regards to my local area in Norfolk) to be honest we don't see many grain carts (or Chaser bin's) in this area, the only one I know of is on a large farming company called Velcourt (or Belcourt I can never remember which) which is a German Based company which farms a huge number of estates in the Kings Lynn area of the Fens. This estate uses some serious kit including several CIH Quadtrac's, mainly CIH Magnums & Pumas & at least three NH CR combines including one with a 40ft Canadian built header. As for grain carting most of the farms in this area use 12/14 tonne trailers such as Richard Western or Marston etc to transport from the field to the barn/drier unit. Kind Regards Phil Rutland
  9. :'( It's It's It's so beautiful........... love the Horsch Tiger & Kverneland Plough. Did you make them from scratch or convert them from other models? I would love to add both implements to my collection
  10. lovely conversion, any more in the pipeline? Regards PR
  11. I agree................ loving the layout & nice detail. Fantastic NH & cattle set up but the Case :'( bit like shooting pigeons with an anti-aircraft gun . My personal choice (speaking from the area I live in) would be a "classic" such as UH 7810/Britains 1056XL or one of the smaller moderns such as UH McCormick Keep it coming Great job job PR (Text Talk removed).
  12. What a fantastic topic. I've had to put a bit of thought into this....... I've been collecting mainly Britains since I was born in 1980, so here goes..... No 1: - New Holland TR85 Maize harvester, I received this as a Christmas gift at the same time that my father & grandfather built me a wooden farm yard complete with scratch built metal gates. Fond memories No 2: - Fordon Major blue & Industrial Yellow models. Given to me by my grandfather. Loved these models for years & completely unaware that the industrial was quite rare until the latest model farmer mag (unfortunately by then the model has had tens of thousands of carpet farming hours) No 3: - My latest purchase CIH 535 STX Quadrtrak, I worked for a time at Earnest Doe Power (Fakenham) and was completely mesmerised by the real thing it took me a while to get to see the real thing working but since i first clapped eyes on it I knew I must have a model of one. No 4: - Lamborghini 1706 turbo with push me-pull you plough set up, I don't know why, maybe because I have never seen a set up like this before & certainly never seen the real thing working. No 5: - New Holland T8040, I currently have this set up on display with a scratch built Kverneland land plough although I would like to team it with a UH Gregoire Besson 8 furrow plough. As for the models I would like: - No 1: - One of the 1980's Massey Ferguson combine harvesters to replace the original that went to that great model grave yard many moons ago :'( No 2: - Having just seen a copy of the latest Britains catalogue I must have the new New Holland T9-390 on dual wheels, although it would also be handy if the produced some implements to complement the higher horsepower tractors. No 3: - The new IH 956XL it reminds me of my youth when my father used take me around all the local agricultural dealers to collect tractor/machinery brochures. (For the same reason I would also like the UH 7810) No 4: - The 1980's Krone round bale carrier for the same reason as no 1 :'( No 5: - Several of the Newer John Dreere tractors as my collection is surprisingly sparse on John Deere models possibly as a can never recall Britains producing John Deere's throughout the 80's (but please correct me if I'm wrong). Anyway that is my list thankyou for a couple of hours of fun & reminiscing Kind regards PR
  13. I have to confess that it was seeing your website (through model farmer mag) that inspired me i thought it was original to use smaller individual diorama's rather than a larger scale set up. As much as i would love to have an extensive layout i simply do not have the room so would like to create some diorama's in your style. Are there any specific materials or techniques that you could pass on to me. ((don't worry my models are purely for my own pleasue (& my wife's annoyance) so i wouldn't be taking any of your business) besides which there is no way in a million years that my attempts will be anywhere as good as yours!!!!
  14. Greetings & welcome to the forum Enjoy yourself regards PR
  15. cheers deere-est was probably leaning towards the 956 as Mr bank manager might have a fit if not but thanks for the tips, any particular sites for the wheels/tyre's i should check out? Thanks for the Claas info (i got the models a bit mixed up!) Sorry to ask again but can i take the wheels off a britains tractor without damaging the model? I'll explain why i have just bought this months classic tractor & i really liked the pic of the IH on floatation tyre's with a set of rollers & would like to replicate it on my diorama. Kind regards PR
  16. I can't decide which new model to buy the new UH 7810/7810 silver jubilee or the new britains IH 956XL aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! plus does anyone know if a) you can change the wheels on a britains model where i can buy a set of flotation wheels/tyre's 1/32 & c) a good website where i might find a 1/32 Claas Challenger 45 or 95 (1/32 scale to buy) i don't mind which.
  17. Thanks tractorbob just a shame there a bit dusty at the moment. I'm waiting to see if the how clean is your house team turn up to clean them . The three vintage fords have been with me since birth but until i read the latest issue of model farmer mag i didn't realise how scarce the industrial version was. Mind you if we had known that my grandfather would have probably never given them to me!!
