Plywood for me all the way
MDF is ok but I wouldn't like to do a layout on one if you're leaving it in a garage or a shed (moisture, dampness causes it to swell)
Clearance when the trailer is not tipped is very small but just enough,I've used a pto shaft to show you
Clearance when tipped will take 2 of Mandys sacks underneath
Chassis is metal, the rest is plastic but like I said for the price of them they are unreal value and until such a time as I can afford to buy 6 scratch built trailers these will do nicely
Absolutely delighted with them,6 trailers for the price of 1 scratch built.Ok I know there's more work and detail in the scratch built models but these are a very good substitute for them until such a time I get my layout filled with working models and then I'll probably replace them with scratch built trailers
Looking at them side by side there's not much between them.I agree with you that the grain tank is very detailed which is a plus from me but the one thing I like about this model that I don't see on the Claas models is the window into the grain tank from the cab is glazed and that for me is an excellent touch.
