  1. at 4:30 today i had a jd 6410 and a jd 5820 sitting next to each other and by 7:00 they had become 1

i started by removing the front wheels from both tractors and then removing the front axel from the 5820.

i had to cut off the mudgards so that the wheels from the 6410 would fit

    009-1.jpg

that then left me with this

    010-1.jpg

because the holes in the centers of the wheels were to big to be a good fit on the axels i drilled them out a few mill and put in a bit of tube

    011-1.jpg

    012-1.jpg

next i fitted the wheels onto the axels and made the mounting bracket,

as you can see there isnt a masive amount of differance in track width

    015-1.jpg

all thats left to do now is to remove the front axel on the 6410 and put the new one on

    so thats what i did

    017-1.jpg

after doing that i looked down at the 5820 shortly followed by my watch then thought to my self tea wont be ready for a while yet so i started cutting gagain

    018-1.jpg

and then eventualy ended up with this

if any one has any info on how the gate at the back works or any pictures of it please let me know as i havent got a clue

  4. i havent done that much on it over the last few days apart from adding a grain chute on the back

Plastic Weld at a guess as we usually fight over the stock at the local shop ::);D:D :D ;)

well its harder for me to get my hands on the stuff because you live closer than me so you just have to walk down the road  >:(

o well you do come in handy for when i want to know when they have new stuff in  ;D ;D

  5. you can probably see the little locking system i made to stop them from articulating when in transport position in pic 2

its just 2 bits of wire made into a little hook and eye system because the system they use on the real thing would have been so small i wouldnt have been able to make it lock into position but im very pleased with how it turned out and the only bit that was actualy hard to make was the frame for the hydrolic rams that lift the side rolls up because they have to be in the exact right position or they wont fully fold or unfold

  6. as long as its not a spelling test you'll be ok!!! :D :D

    good luck!  ;):) :)

its not a spelling test thank god  :D

You much pleased as punch with that matty and well you should be. Excellent. Oh and congrats on passing whatever it is you passed  :D:) :)

think you should read my post again  ;D

i will hopfully be able to get some more done on friday when i get home from my test

thats if i can eventualy manage to stop running round the house waving the satificate above my head shouting I PASSED I PASSED :D :D ;D

  7. finaly managed to get some

as u can see i need to raise the back a bit to make it level but i will do that after the next supply run because i thought i still had some bits left so i didnt bother getting any bits that size.

first of all the tank rams
