it hasnt worked for me since i have had IE7 because it used to work on IE6
-
made a few slight changes to some of the parts because some bits were a little long so they have been cut down a bit
i will try and get some more done tomorrow because i would like to get the topper attached, but in the morning i am going to the farm to have a little drive about to brush up on the skills because i have my tractor test on the 19th so i wana get as much practise in as possable
-
told you there would be more pic's
i will need to get some rams to hold the tank in the up position and stuff like that
feel free to comment
-
i havent done much on it over the last week but i worked on it today and this is what it was looking like at lunch
some pics from this afternoons work will be up shortly
-
i have mostly pictures im working from and just working out the sizes of the parts compared to teh size of the tractor
-
even with my war wound i managed to strugel on
and eventualy make this
and to give u a bit of an idea of size
-
cant wait to see it with a bit more done to it
you must have put in a good bit of time to find out how it folds up
-
i dont no how much more i will get done on it today because i was cutting out a bit and the knife sliped and went strait into my finger :'( and it now stings like hell
-
i dont no about competing because this is my first model made from plastruct but its very easy stuff to work with, i will be going and getting some more bits tomorrow and then i will be able to finish putting detail on the tank but untill then i will be starting to make the main body of the machine.nice progresss, are you two competing :)
i'll take one as well :)
i dont no if i will make any more of these but if i do then i will let you know
i also have a little project i may start today using some of the bits i have left over
pic's comming soon

after seeing the amazing job that gav has done on his beet harvester i thought i would give it a shot
i actualy started this a few weeks back but i had to stop because i ran out off material and gav had had the rest of it from the shop
so yesterday i went and got a load because they got there stock in a few days ago
and this is what i managed to make out of it yesterday and today.
first pic the real thing
and my attempt so far
-
only the central part of it is weights, the bits on each side are tool boxes
-
got me scanner working so i scaned some of my photo
-
looks more like a windrower to me
but i dont see many machines like this so i could be wrong
-
spring tined cultivator, can be placed straight into stubble after a subsoil, or after discing to break the ground up more. but it simply breaks the ground up like matty a said! a proccess not using a plough.......... the tines break up weeds (like matty said ) but can make rows ready for the bed prep........
they can help with drainage but not a great deal as they dont reach the pan.............
so that means im not as thick as i look
-
back to the main point i think it is to break up the top of the soil to get rid of the compaction and also the movement of the soil disturbes the weeds to slow there growth but im not 100% shure
-
right there are 2 fields near me which should be covered soon so when they do i will get a vid and show u coz it does work
-
u realy have to see one working to understand it i think
-
in those pics it isent in the rows and by the looks of it it has came out of the row hence why the wheels are in turned but i think there was just a bit of straw left in the machine so they have just cleared it out so tht will explain the pile of straw behind it
-
because then the back can swing round more than if it was just one set of wheels turning and the other fixed
-
because of the lengh of the machine it need the rear wheels to turn to get into the rows
-
now trying to find out how they are held up on the back of the tractor
this is how it is looking this morning
-
this is a quick one i made out of K'NEX still need to think of how to make the trailer but here is the bit that goes round the tractor.
and here is the start of the metal one
-
well it is a jd :D

i have made a good bit of progres on it i think because i have made a new topper because the other one was not wide enough.
i have got most of the frame for the litfing system made and have got the oppel wheels mounted (thanks to gav for supplying them ) and made mostly all the hydrolic rams
