  1. wish it was still, we got a load returned last year as there was too much mud in it, Hanomag driver had dug too deep while loading the cleaner. We were not amused!
  2. The haulier who owns the Ropa also runs a fleet of Hanomag loading shovels and trailed cleaner loaders. All of the beet has to be loaded this way as the factory will deduct money off for too much dirt or in the worst case, reject the load altogether. Will try to get some pic's of the Hanomag and cleaner when they come to collect our last heap
  3. Its only purpose is for the cleaning and loading of sugarbeet into lorries between mid September and mid February. The rest of the year it will not be used.
  4. one from the front showing some of the intake bed
  5. heres one taken from the back, gives you an idea of the size of the machine
  6. Heres some pictures of the Ropa self propelled sugarbeet cleaner/loader. All taken today while hard at work loading one of our heaps of sugarbeet. The operator was telling me that so far this sugarbett season it has loaded somewhere in the region of 86000 tonnes, and loads approx. 4% of the Wissington factories sugarbeet.
  7. I love combining beans too, our Lexion 460 soon gobbles them up, not the case 4 years ago when it took me 2 full days to combine 120 acres (normally a days work in beans) because they were all flat and tangled up, one of the worst crops i'd ever tried to pick up. Would i be right in thinking that that TF in the picture has the 30' header fitted
  8. Now thats a nice combine, i always have liked the TF series combines. I've never seen anyone using one without the straw chopper hoods in the operating position though Glad to see i wasn't the only one trying to feed tall beans into a combine last year
  9. I drove one that we had out on demonstration a couple of years back, theres some pictures of it under Demonstration Combines next to our 460. Great machine to drive, gives a smooth ride and can get up hills that our 460 won't touch.
  10. another side view, he was struggling to get the beet to feed into the harvester when i took this one, they were so big they were jamming in the cleaning turbines!
  11. Yeah, heres a few more for you
  12. Nothing left on this farm now, think we have about another 30 acres to do on one of the others though later in the month
  13. No, The chaps name is Robert Wright, he comes from out near Cromer, we're his biggest customers with 750 acres of sugarbeet to lift. He runs this harvester and a Renault 735 tractor.
  14. Nice picture there. Great tractors in there day, still several working in this area. I used to love driving the one where i used to work. I don't know if your one is the same, but ours and several about here were all pigs to start from cold, especially if it was frosty
  15. I hope to get some of the Ropa cleaner loader when they take them away, won't be for another couple of weeks though. The heap off the last 70 acres off that one field (the field is 130 acres) stretches for approx. 350m alongside the track 1 trailerful wide waiting for it. In the meantime heres one from the other side of the harvester
  16. I'd like one of them too, think they're a bit pricey though Heres another of it from the side
  17. Heres one of the machine coming up the field, shows how big the field is that we were working in
  18. One of it emptying out into the contractors 18 ton Wooton root trailer
  19. I took these pictures of our cotractor lifting the last 120 acres of our sugarbeet last week. The machine is an 04 plate 6 row Vervaet, it holds around 17 tonnes in the tank and has a work rate of around 30 acres a day. First one is as the tank was nearly full
  20. seriously though if you do decide to make it, i can send you a clearer copy of all the dimensions if you want them, just ask when you're ready
  21. i could always keep sending him a copy of the sizes, that would be like a stick wouldn't it? :D
  22. I've managed to find an early MF catalogue with the potato harvester in it, it gives all of the sizes and requirements of the harvester. Catalogue contains all models of tractor, combines and implements available at the time, can't find the date on it anywhere but would guess late 60's/70's.
  23. can't blame a guy for trying can you :
  24. Found this website featuring Hydrotronic combines by doing a search on wanadoo, so looks like they are only available abroad at present http://www.grostracteurspassion.com/Hydrotronic.htm
