Last one of them i saw on ebay went for quite a bit of money, seems they are quite hard to come by. Not too sure but i think i've seen them in the Deutz Fahr colours as well, might be wrong though
-
looks like the Siku Claas baler to me F-P
-
I've seen one mounted on a david brown somewhere, non runner and it was ?2,000.
now thats just ridiculous
not what i would call a beginners restoration project, not for faint hearted is it
-
I'd have thought that ?200 would have been a better price to start with. Not exactly something anyone would want to restore, only the tractor is worth anything really.....
-
hmmmmm, ok smart ar*e
:D
-
not an unusual practice with some contractors, saves tyre wear on the road
-
looks like it could be some kind of mower mounted to the middle/side of the tractor
-
phew! thought i'd missed a baler model for a minute there
-
thought the existing one was a Krone or Jd
-
very nice, they're on my shopping list for certain ?
:)
-
now that sort of thing gives genuine ebayers a tougher time of it doesn't it
-
I never got one for that reason, i just didn't like them. They don't seem to fit in with anything at all
:)
-
only joking
:D
I never could work out how you were supposed to get the bales in these trailers without finger power myself
:D
-
you've made me feel old now.....
-
I'm pretty sure that they've been discontinued for a good few years now, don't think 10 years would be far out, no doubt someone will correct me if i'm wrong.....
-
It was just a thought as i have one fitted to my Land Rover Defender for this reason as well as deep water!! Used alot on Australian vehicles to keep dust out, so would have the same result with a tractor i would imagine
-
Heres the link for it, got my eye on it....
-
Yes, isn't that one by Siku, been discontinued for a while now, never seen a real one like it though
-
It could well be a farm made high rise intake, if the tractor done a lot of dusty work it would help it to pull cleaner air in with it being mounted higher. considering the tractor obviously goes cultivating in dusty it seems highly probable as they are relatively cheap and easy to make

I used to work for a guy who ran one of them. It was an absolute pig when it wanted to be, overheating on the road, dieing in the field. The powerflow header on it wasn't too bad while the belts kept running but when they slipped it too was a pig! Finally got rid of it towards the end of one harvest when a straw walker snapped on it, got replaced by a Claas 118sl maxi- much better and faster combine in the field!!
-
At the last count i had about 75 tractors, 100 implements, 10 combines, 3 forage harvesters and a few diggers and forklifts all in 1/32 scale. A mixture of Britains, Siku, UH and ?Ertl and a few others.

No one drives my Defender other than me so i should have that one pretty well covered
:D
